Nice little gift shop with post cards and t-shirts and trinkets to help loved ones believe that your love is so real. You can shop online at , or email them at . Did I mention there’s alcohol sold here too? Cool your nerves, improve your visit, go Dutch, look around, name everything you can, slowly pronounce every word like a donkey, smile at the shoppers, breathe, this is a gift horse, maybe inside of an airport, maybe not, either way this is a place of transit, where everyone’s in business. Imagine all the beaten paths, imagine an ant and a tangent, imagine the magnet and pulse and how soft is the minuscule pull of each individual. Imagine continuations indefinite of people in life. Forget the terror of flight, you’re cradled in destiny, including every glitch. Noise and delay and mechanical failures alike; write them on the back of a pornographic post card using neon letters so the meaning’s ignored. Don’t worry, someone is probably watching(though it might just be you). The more complex and substantial, the less it will matter, so lay it on thick. Now pull out your plastic and see the globe spinning. Wonderful, you really did it, I’m proud of you, good job, well done, that’s how independence is gained: by calling it quits.

Excellent place to spend some time during a long layover at Amsterdam Schiphol. It’s a fairly large store as far as airports go, and it has a little of everything, from traditional Dutch foods, to souvenirs, and even books, newspapers, and magazines.

Big fan. So much so, during a 5 hour layover, I went and shopped(and conquered) 3 different times. It’s a large store, and has a bit of everything: liquor, cheese, cosmetics, snacks, books and mags, and electronics. Everything is at very reasonable prices. 1. Cheese — it’s not the best cheese shop on the premises, but I went in and got a baby gouda and crackers. Yes, I ate the cheese(and loved it), and felt it was a good price. 2. Converters — as I went looking around for a plug, I realized I didn’t have the right kind of converters plug for my phone($ 14 Euros). Money well spent. 3. Perfume and Cologne — I got guilty that I wasn’t bringing enough gifts for the family, so I popped in and got bottles for everyone. Great prices. I’ve also looked, wandered, and missed my flight on prior trips. You can’t really hear the overhead paging system from inside the store. So tip: make sure your watch is correct, and pay attention!

It’s the option in the Amsterdam airport for water and snacks for the plane. The big bottle of water ended up at almost $ 5 with the dollar exchange. Oy! Gotta love it! The are many options as far as those items you may have forgotten etc! Staff is friendly enough and they take credit cards.
