Cafe Bar Bloom

Schickmimicki zu teuren Preisen — aber frau will ja mal alles im Leben ausprobiert haben…
Ich hab mir hier das Rote Beete Risotto gegönnt für knappe 12 Euro — woanders hätte ich um die Hälfte des Preises 1. mehr auf dem Teller gehabt und 2. vermutlich noch eine zweite Portion dafür bekommen. Das Preis-​Leistungs-​Verhältnis stimmt bei den Gerichten für mich so schon mal nicht.
Der Service ist zuvorkommend, keine Frage, und auch ein Gruß vom Koch wird hier vorbeigebracht. Das Ambiente ist einladend und ich habe mich wohlgefühlt — für ein paar Getränke komme ich gerne nochmal vorbei, aber von der Speisekarte lasse ich erstmal die Finger.

Die Bar bietet tolles Ambiente mit schönem Ausblick! Super, um gemütlich einen Kaffee oder eine leckere heiße Schokolade zu schlürfen. Aufgrund der Lage ist es ein wenig teurer, ist aber trotzdem zu empfehlen! Nur die Kellner könnten ein wenig aufmerksamer sein…

WOW! Eine wahre Oase im 1. Bezirk!
Zumindest wenn man zum Frühstück aufschlägt und im ruhigen Obergeschoss sitzen kann. Wunderschön edel eingerichtet, zuvorkommendes Personal, gute Kaffees und Frühstücke zu (für die Gegend) absolut angemessenen Preisen. Alles bestens! Das ist mein neuer Lieblingsplatz in der City!
(Und manche internationale A-​Promis kann man hier auch schon mal erspähen! :-))

I love this place. Downstairs (I’m talking street-​side) the seating is very cool, the servers are super friendly, and the drinks are well-​made. Upstairs (I mean really upstairs… like on the roof) you have all the same amenities of this well-​run establishment — only it comes with a totally awesome view of St. Stephen’s Cathedral and central Vienna. And they have canopies to deflect the direct sun on a hot day. This is a great chill spot … and when I take friends visiting Vienna to Café Bar Bloom’s Dachterrace, they are always impressed. Who wouldn’t be?

Das Café Bloom befindet sich im ersten Bezirk in der Rotenturmstrasse. Im unteren Bereich befindet sich das Kaffehaus, auch mit der Möglichkeit im freien zu sitzen .
Aber das Highlight ist die Dachterrasse im 9 Stock mit traumhaften Blick auf den Stephansdom und über die Stadt.
Es ist eine relativ kleine Terrasse aber sehr schön. Man kann auch Essen oder nur Getränke konsumieren.
Absolut ein Besuch wert.

Ich war am Samstag zum ersten Mal auf der Dachterrasse der Café Bar Bloom. Die Aussicht ist super und für Fotos geeignet, da keine störenden Scheiben im Weg sind. Es gibt auch keine Eingangskontrollen wie im Sofitel. Es sind nicht viele Sitzplätze vorhanden und die Karte ist, gegenüber dem Erdgeschoss, eingeschränkt, aber mir hat es sehr gut gefallen. Zu beachten ist dass es sich nur an lauen Sommerabenden/​tagen eignet.

Absolutely love the rooftop bar at the hotel. Beautiful view of Vienna and a good amount of seating for all. Drinks on the high side but that was expected. I recommend the Lilletspritzer! Will be going back shortly !

Tolle Essen, nettes Ambiente und — wenn das Wetter schön ist — ab auf die wunderschöné Lounge-​Terrasse mit Blick auf den Stephansdom. Eine der allerschönsten Locations in Wien.

Das Bloom ist in 3 Bereiche auf 2 Ebene aufgeteilt. Während der untere Bereich meiner Meinung nach für einen schnellen Kaffee oder Cocktail-​Warmup geeignet ist, finde ich den zweiten Stock mit dem Lounge und Restaurant Bereich einladender. Dieser ist im Art-​Deco Stil gehalten, genauso wie das Hotel in dem es integriert ist. Schick, elegant, lockt vermutlich Abends ein etwas gehobeneres Publikum. Tagsüber war das Publikum gemischt, Geschäftsmänner die unten einen schnellen Kaffee zu sich genommen haben, Ältere die im Restaurant eine Kleinigkeit zu sich genommen haben, etc.
Sie bitten täglich zwei Mittagsmenüs an, inklusive Suppe und mit Dessert erweiterbar. Die Speise-​Barkarte ist eher klein und mit den typischen Gerichtet ausgestattet– Backhendl, Beef Tartar, Club Sandwich… Wir hatten Beef Tartar und Club Sandwich– absolut solide, gutes Handwerk. Meine selbstgemachten Potatochips waren zwar etwas «letschert» (hochdeutsch: lasch) aber als der Kellner nach gefragt hat, wurden sofort neue zubereitet– die wirklich sehr knusprig waren.
Service ist sehr nett, flott, absolut zuvorkommend. Ich hatte einen doppelten Espresso für meinen Mann bestellt, da dieser gleich weg musst– Leider hat mein Mann den nur um eine halbe Minute versäumt. Ich habe das nur erwähnt, nicht um mich zu beschweren, sondern nur anzumerken, dass sie zwar flott waren, aber mein Mann noch schneller. Der Kellner wollte ihn auch gleich wieder mitnehmen und gesagt es wäre gar kein Problem, sie würden ihn nicht verrechnen!!! Das nenn ich absolut Gastfreundliches Denken– obwohl nicht deren Schuld. Ich habe ihn dann selbst getrunken.
Sie bieten Frühstück, Mittagsmenü und Abendessen neben der kleinen Barkarte an. Wenn sie so weitermachen, möchte noch Frühstück und Abendessen probieren, dann bin ich durchaus gewillt 5 Sterne zu vergeben.

We wanted to go to the rooftop bar at the Hotel Lamee for a late night cocktail. When we go there we were informed that the rooftop bar closes at 8 PM and that no one would sit outside at this time of the year anyway. Well, I think if there were heat lamps, people would be willing to be outside. It’s not winter yet.
Anyways, so we stayed the Café Bloom for a glass of wine. The first floor is more like a lounge type place and the ground floor has more like a café but had music. Upstairs was mellow. The wine was good. It’s a little pricey (EUR 5.50 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc). For some reason it was incredibly hot on the first floor, making it a bit uncomfortable. The wait staff was a bit slow but it was packed.
Most people who were there dressed up and I really appreciated that.
And it is NON-​SMOKING! Yay!

Seeing people people-​watching on the 2^nd floor of Café Bar Bloom caught our attention because we wanted to do that too! I could only speak for the bar scene as we went there on a Saturday night.
The bar on the second floor is chic and posh, but what draws anyone’s attention is the top-​to-​bottom glass panel. One can seat facing the glass and enjoy the Viennese street scene. Or one can meet up with friends and have conversation over drinks.
We had a friendly hostess, who checked in with us every so often. We indeed sat facing the glass panel, enjoying our view with an organic beer (tasted like pale ale) and Gaumenfrizz cocktail (Gin, Frizzante, Gaumengut). Prices are on the higher end but still fair, and for a bar, they close early (midnight).

Good drinks and a nice place to sit and people watch. Focusing on drinks native to Vienna, so don’t expect to order your «usual». Service was generally good though a tad slow sometimes when the place was busy.

I LOVE IT, to put it simply.
I really like the location and the outside seating, they really made an effort to make it different to the normal outside seating style of Vienna, yet it still fits into the general feel and style that Vienna has.
It is more expensive and fancy than most place, but location is everything.
I can certainly see myself there again, accept next time i need to some some of the Unilocal girls with me. ;)

A very accidentaly, but very happy find! In fact, it was not even added yet into Unilocal,so I hesitate to share it all with you versus keeping it as my secret little place… along with everyone else that was keeping this place packed when I was there in middle of the week in the evening :)
In the heart of tourist downtown Vienna, where I have yet to be impressed with the culinary scene, as it is surprising less existant than everywhere else in Vienna, this place was not small, but had a cute, cozy small place feel to it; divided in a bar stool drinking area downstairs, a dining area with limited tables upstairs, and another section upstairs of couchie café where you can people watch those walking below. I would say the prices are on the middle higher end, you can spend 15 to 20 Euros here for drink and food. Imagine you pay 5 Euros for tea or a wine, and 10 Euros for a cocktail. However, you come for the food and the service. Every single waiter there, and Daniel, who runs the place, were friendly in a humble way, interested to strike a short, friendly conversation and let you smell the different teas they offer, even though they know you are only drinking liquor that night. There is a sense that they care about what they serve, and they care about each of their customers individually. They even let people take their glasses of wine outside for a smoke (was not smokey inside at all).
The other item is their menu. It is quite interesting, including the delicious deer sandwitch I had. They have butternut squash, and quail, pork belly and beef in tabaco sauce, etc. So yes, they stand out with their distinct menu, cute atmosphere (defintely good first date potential in the dining area; make a reservation; there are not so many tables), and great service.
The bathroom is also one of the best in terms of feel and cleanliness I have experienced in Vienna. Yes, I would go there just to wash my hands.
A plus note also is their website. It is very user friendly, in multiple langues, and you get to see the menu in complete.
Only two down points: 1. The sandwich of my friend and I were not made fresh to serve (they had been in the display, and it was around 19:30), and the stools were we were at were very high with a big round pillow seating, which is not the most comfortable for girls in dresses and heels. This is not the situation at the couchie café or dining part.
Overall: Worth the great service and culinary experience! However, if I go, and you’ve taken the last seat, I’m sitting with you!!!
