This place is soooooo HIPSTER. Which I usually hate. And which is typical of the 7^th district. But for some reason I like it here. Those waiters are so relaxed and friendly and the coffee was good. Non-​smokers should probably stay away from here, because the whole place seems to be for smokers; or maybe I didn’t really understand it — perhaps the further space at the bar might be for non-​smokers but anyway it is not separated anyhow, so yeah — it stinks. But it’s fine with me, an occasional smoker.
I didn’t try their food though, but it looks good and I will definitely try it out next time!

Great service, amazing food with top quality ingredients, and breakfast served late. Atmosphere is relaxed and cool. No english menu, but one of the best breakfast environments in the area.

Es gibt viele süsse Kaffees in Wien, aber dieses gehört def. zu meinen Lieblingskaffees. Top Service, köstliches Essen und angenehmes Ambiente!

Such a cute Place! Love the giant couch decal on the wall. The tables and chairs are simplistically European. I loved it.
The menu being in German the waiter helped us by explaining what he had and gave us the BEST recommendation ever with the breakfast burger and let me order a plate that wasn’t in the menu cause I love their sausages so much!
Basically it s a really nice place for café and breakfast that I would recommend visiting to everyone!!!

Figar is a wonderful place in the 7^th district. I have been to Figar twice now. It is casual and trendy and reminds me of a few small cafes I have been to in Austin, TX. Both times the staff has been extremely sweet and patient with me, because I speak very poor german, and the food has been delicious. THEY HAVE REAL BACON HERE (which is extremely rare to find in Vienna). I love the small and cozy atmosphere. They serve breakfast until around 4pm which I adore because I could eat breakfast for every meal. They accept both cash and credit cards.

Great service. I came in and had a couple cappuccinos and a croissant. Will definitely come back.

Die weißen Spritzer kann ich schonmal empfehlen. Das Essen kann ich leider noch nicht beurteilen, aber ich werde es so schnell wie möglich nachholen liebe Unilocaler!
Das Figar ist ein sehr kleiner und «hipsterischer» Laden — wen wundert das noch im 7. Seltsame Bilder schmücken die Wände, aber es hat was. Die Atmosphäre ist immer gut und die Kellner freundlich. Es gibt leider keinen abgetrennten Nichtraucherbereich, aber zum Glück ist es trotzdem nicht zu verraucht. Kann jedem der am Abend was trinken möchte empfehlen mal hinzuschauen! Die Preise sind grad noch so in Ordnung und im Sommer gibt es draußen ein paar Sitzplätze — super nett! :-)

Nett (wenn auch etwas brav) eingerichtetes, kleines Lokal in der Kirchengasse. Eine schöné Mischung aus Café, Bar und Restaurant, sehr nettes Personal und eines der Lieblingslokale des Bezirks zum Frühstücken.

Wir haben heute im Figar gefrühstückt und waren super zufrieden. Die Qualität der Speisen ist sehr gut… insbesondere das leckere Müsli mit Joghurt und Obst. Das Café ist gemütlich mit lässigem Stil. Draußen stehen auch ein paar Tische. Sehr netter Service! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Heute war ich im Figar frühstücken, ich habe mir schon vorher die Karte im Internet angeschaut und mich auf ein großes, üppiges Früstück gefreut.
Dort angekommen fand ich das Ambiente sehr nett, die Kellnerin war freundlich und ich hab’ mich irgendwie gleich wohl gefühlt.
Zuerst hab’ ich gleich mal einen Cappuccino bestellt, der mit einem schönen&guten Schaumkrönchen serviert wurde und top geschmeckt hat.
Die Frühstücksauswahl fiel mir da schon schwerer. zwischen klassischem Wiener Frühstück, gesunder Rohkost, belegten Broten, verschiedenen Ei-​Variationen und Süßem habe ich mich dann für einen süßen French Toast mit Früchten und Ahornsirup entschieden. Leider wurde ich enttäuscht. Ich hatte irgendwie etwas üppiges im Sinn, aber auf dem Teller fand ich eine kleine Scheibe Toast mit einem Esslöffelgroßen Häufchen Obst und etwas Sirup. Der Geschmack war OK, aber hat mich nicht wirklich vom Hocker g’haut.
Fazit: ich werde dem Figar wohl noch eine zweite Chance geben, da die anderen Frühstücksangebote mich schon auch angelächelt haben. Vielleicht fallen die ja dann etwas größer aus ;)

Das Figar ist ein nettes kleines Lokal in der Kirchengasse. Von außen ist es doch recht unscheinbar, und drinnen ist es tatsächlich sehr klein. Doch dabei vermittelt es seinen eigenen Charme. Jetzt im Sommer gibt es einen kleinen Gastgarten mit bunten Tischlein und ausreichend Sonnenschirmen.
Bestellt wurden dann Chickenburger & Cheeseburger und Apfel-​Holunder Saft.
Der Saft kommt in einer eigenen kleinen Karaffe, aus der man sich selbst nachschenkt. Fand ich wirklich sehr nett und schön durchdacht. Die Burger sind schön drapiert. Super zarte Brötchen und ein gutes Verhältnis von Fleisch, Saucen und Co. Der Beste Burger meines Lebens wars zwar nicht, aber auf seine eigene Weise sehr lecker. Die Bedienung und Atmosphäre war ebenfalls sehr angenehm und einladend. Preise sind nicht sooo günstig, aber das kennt man ja schon aus dem 7.Bezirk.
Mir hats gut gefallen, ein schönes Plätzchen für einen Snack im Freien bei schönem Wetter :)

At first, I thought that my love for Vinz Feel Free made me like this place so much but it is more than that (though, I do appreciate the grand art on the wall). It is quaint but still big enough for you to enjoy. The food is excellent, the staff is hip and friendly and it is definitely a nice place to meet up with a friend and have a drink and chat. It feels homey, that’s what it is.
They even do breakfast (I recommend making a reservation because last time I tried getting a table they were fully booked), which I’ve heard is great (yet to find out).
The only down side to this place is that it turns into a «smoking allowed» establishment starting at 5PM, which in my opinion sucks given the size of it. Granted, they do have a good ventilation system but let me ask this… Is it really necessary to feed the evil in today’s society? Can’t we just all not smoke (inside) and get along?

Figar is a trendy narrow café/​bar/​restaurant conveniently located on Kirchengasse. From outside it looks very unassuming. The menu is certainly fusion with a mediterranean flair. I went for brunch with a friend one Sunday and they were jam packed! We had a reservation and they weren’t ready for us. Service was distracted and slow and a bit unorganized for being open for a few months now. Luckily the food and coffee for breakfast is great! I highly recommend the advocado/​spinat bread and an omelette. This place is non-​smoking until 6pm everyday and then turns smoking. They said they tried all non-​smoking, but it «didn’t work out». I say try harder, cause this place is too narrow to be filled with smoke. I would never go back for dinner or drinks because of that, but I will be back for breakfast or lunch!
