Gasthaus Wagner

This little corner Gasthaus is my «Cheers» of Vienna! Everyone knows my name, where I live, and what I drink. You can find all kinds of 3^rd District locals hanging here with the owners Michael and Andrea for lunch, a beer, playing cards, or taking a break from working at Town Town or on the local construction sites. With homemade daily menus starting at just 6,40 (including soup) and ranging to about 12 euros max., this place can’t be beat for a traditional Austrian meal. I have actually never needed to look at the menu! They always offer at least three different daily specials. Come hungry because portions are large, or bring your own plasticware to pack up and take leftovers home. This place is also great for a private party or event. They will close the place down just for you and your friends. We had my husband’s farewell work party there with ribs and beer. They were so accomodating and the ribs were amazing! A downside is that it is so small and it is a smoking locale, but it usually doesn’t matter since everyone is stuffing their face!
