Nikita dal Russo

We decided to head out on our own for a local dinner instead of on our ship in the nearby port. This place has a nice, fenced in patio area outside with a great evening ambience. We both ordered pizza’s. They were very good, and very fresh.
Not sure of local custom, but we do tend to like pizza’s more when you can pick a piece up and it doesn’t flop all over due to a limp and/​or undercooked crust. That said, it was still very good with a fork.
All in all a nice dinner, exactly the quite, outside café we were looking for.

Kurz und bündig: Der Hunger und der nette Gastgarten lockten mich. Nicht sehr billig (gerade für diese Gegend nicht unweit vom Mexikoplatz) und nicht besonders gut. Minus und Minus ergeben eben nur in der Physik Plus…

We arrived at our hotel later in the day and were looking for a place to have a nice meal having just been in the car for 4.5 hours. We stumbled upon Nikita dal Russo and were so thankful we did. Each of us ordered a pizza — all different, and all very good. The service was quick, efficient and quite friendly. They spoke perfect English. We sat in the tree covered courtyard which was just wonderful on a warm summer night. The meal was very reasonably priced. Each of us stated that if we visited again, we would go back. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and terrific service. The place is quite large, although mostly empty when we were there.

Der Italiener ist im Sommer der große Hit mit dem kleinen Schanigarten. Im Winter ist man positiv überrascht, dass auch das «Innenleben» des ital. Restaurants sehr ansprechend ist. Man fühlt sich gleich in Venedig mit den Wandmalereien und schönen klassischen Vorhängen. Es ist genug Platz und die Raucher sind in wirklich abseits.
Die Menukarte ist wiederum total typisch für einen gehobenen Italiener — und das um die Ecke vom Mexikoplatz. Die Speisen sind gut — ob nun der ital. Schinken als Vorspeise mit Kapern oder die Nudelgerichte. Pizzas werden häufig bestellt — ich hab’s noch nicht probiert.
