Ich war mit einem DailyDeal-​Gutschein dort, es hat mir gut gefallen!
Das Nachspeisen-​Buffet ist der Hammer — besonders toll natürlich, dass man sich im Rahmen des «all-​you-​can-​eat» soviel & was auch immer man probieren will, holen kann! Auch das frische Gebäck war gut.
Das warme Buffet (vA Gemüse) war nicht so besonders, dafür das Salatbuffet umso besser! Und die warmen Hauptspeisen (Schnitzel, Braten…) werden vor den Augen der Gäste frisch zubereitet — sehr gut! Ich hatte ein Lachs-​Steak, das war super — außen knusprig, innen glasig & saftig — herrlich!
Was mir auch gefallen hat: eine Bedienung hat mich darauf aufmerksam gemacht, meinen Rucksack im Blick zu behalten, da Diebe unterwegs wären… Ist zwar nicht gut, aber da ich oft zu ‘vertrauensselig’ bin (& meine Sachen liegen lasse), war der Hinweis wichtig für mich!

Als ich das Lokal vor vielen Jahren kennengelernt habe, war es preiswert zum Essen gehen, aber heute: ein Reinfall und zwar beim Grillhendl als auch beim Hirschgulasch. Hendl, Hirschgulasch, Kartoffeln (merkwürdige Beilage) nicht durch und der Preis für diese Qualität ein Witz. Ein Grillhendl um 12,40 Euro sollte wenigstens genießbar sein und das Hirschgulasch durchgekocht. Eine Frechheit, die zur Folge hat, dass ich nie mehr hierher kommen werde.

Really good restaurant! Family friendly and really spacious. But only worth it if you eat the buffet. 19.90 € per person for anti pasti, soups, bread, salad, sandwiches, smoked salmon, freshly cooked pasta, salmon, steak, hamburger, schnitzel, beef and venison stew, cake, desserts and fruits. Drinks are not included but they have freshly squeezed juice, wine, beer, etc…
Of course you can order individual dishes and take-​outs but then the price wouldn’t be that worth it. For example, a plate of salmon steak and side dish costs 16.99 €. Add 3 € more and you can eat everything as much as you like!
Waiter and cook were very friendly.
Definitely recommend!

I was there twice during my trip in Austria and I liked the buffet. We only paid 6,9 € for Schnitzel and then we had a lot of vegetables ;)

This place has okay food, but it’s not a good value. The food is kinda mediocre and is nothing special. It is really expensive for a small amount of food. The pricing is not clear at all. Would not recommend this place again.

Rosenberger’s is a chain of gas station restaurants alongside the Austrian highways.
The ones at the highways are not the best of restaurants, the quality vary very much.
This one is situated right in the center of Vienna, behind the famous hotel Sacher and the Opera of Vienna, to be easily reached by underground U1, station Karlsplatz or next one Stephansplatz, Karlsplatz is a bit closer.
The architecture is quite impressive because it is on two stories, has no windows, but at least you are not watched all the time by pedestrians walking by.
There are several exlusive rooms for events or parties. It is typically Austrian style with lots of green, paintings, photographs and pictures from the imperial or Biedermeier time. There are bufetts of different types, everything looks quite good, the prices are up to 14, – €. At noon there is a menu consisting of soup and main dish with side dish, it is quite filling and everything tastes excellent.
If you take a cup of coffee you get an empty cup free to take home. They are very decorative.
But at noon there are lots of people (already at 11a.m., but then there are still some sittings available), later on you might have problems. Especially older people like the tasty traditional food. They also offer the menue to go, so this is quite practical.
There is also lots of Austrian pastry, different types of coffee, juices, a large variety of soups, salads, noodles — everything looks great and tastes excellent.
The personal is dressed traditionally, international and very friendly.
Even in the late afternoon, when there are hardly any people, the personal is still friendly.
The only reason why I don’t give 5 stars is the fact that the manager can never be reached via phone or answers any mails.
There is also a bistro and a shop.

War gestern beim Rosenberger, den gibt’s seit 1991 und genau so lange hat sich bei der Speisenauswahl auch nichts geändert. Qualität der Speisen ist sicherlich gut aber das Preis — Leistung Verhältnis ist ein Wahnsinn. Ein kleiner Vorspeisenteller (ca. 11 cm) kostet € 6,80, ein kleines Bier € 3,70 und das ohne Service. Ich glaube der sieht mich so schnell nicht wieder.

We found Rosenberger Markt Restaurant a very convenient place for lunch while sightseeing in central Vienna. In fact, we came here twice during our stay!
The downstairs restaurant serves cafeteria-​style and has a variety of hot main dishes that change daily. These might include, chicken, meats, and pasta. There are also soups, breads, and a salad bar.
Upstairs, the bistro offers prepared sandwiches and salads and choice of soups.
I enjoyed a Tuna and Ham sandwich and potato soup. (I liked the little crunchies you could add to your soup.) There was Apple Strudel for dessert.
Located near the Albertina and the Staatsoper.

This is a good place for large groups! Not a place you might see in a travel book or a hidden treasure or anything of that sort, but it has variety, its cheap, its in the middle of all the tourist attractions and caters to different age groups (our group ranged from 5 — 75). I enjoyed my Wiener Schnitzel, Shanter Bombe drink, a variation of the famous Sacher torte (only better) and FREE WIFI! Sometimes us tourist folks are attracted to the simple things in life (…like free wifi)!

If you are traveling with starving 20 year olds who still think that Old Country Buffet is near the apex of all restaurants, Rosenberger is like paradise in Vienna. Instead of dried out ham, they do grill steaks in front of you; instead of bread pudding, you can eat as many Apfelstrudel or Sacher Torte as you wish, but it still feels like what it is: a mass eating experience. In Vienna, there are wonderful intimate places. Rosenberger is not one of them. It is OCB Euro-​style. It’ll fill you up, but at a cost.

Touristenfalle!!! Für 35 Euro gab es 2 unterdurchschnittlich leckere Schnitzel mit Beilagen; kalte, lapprige, nicht gewürzte Bratkatorffeln und unappetitliche Pommes. Einzig das Zucchinigemüse sagte uns zu. 2 Getränke und 2 Mal Mayonaise (0,60 Euro pro Tütchen) waren im oben genannten Preis inkludiert. Nicht empfehlenswert.

Walking around to see the Wien, and somehow walk in and found the food court with variety of foods, decent price and with international style. Do-​It – Yourself type of restaurant. It’s not the best, but if you are in the area. Should swing by for a break before.
You might find a cute musician on the floor, too :)

Hier ist es recht interessannt denn hier gibt e ganz viele verschedene köchen. Österreichische, italienische usw. Das ganze ist auch so eingerichtet, in viele verschiedene Kategotien. Ich bin jedoch nur auf einem Kaffee hier und ein Freund meint: du kennst den r… berger nicht? Nein, den kenn ich nicht… Der is voll bekannt
, nie mitbekommen. Aber egal. Ein Blick in die Speisekarte schreckt eher ab als das ich es weitererzählen würde. Da frage ich mich warum der so bekannt ist. Vielleicht ist es bei den älteren Leuten bekannt und war einmal auf der Höhe. Ich jedenfalls esse nichts sondern trinke nur einen Café, die Preise sind zu hoch. Vielleicht ist es das beste Essen das ich jemals gegessen hätte was die Bekanntheit erklären könnte, wegen der Preise werde ich es nie herausfinden.

Na, der Rosenberger. Früher war er ja in erster Linie eine Autobahnraststätte. Und dann hat er halt pleite gemacht. Also die Autobahnraststätten. Das einzige Lokal, das meines Wissens übrig geblieben ist, ist das im 1ten Bezirk in Wien. Meine Eltern haben glaub’ ich, mindestens sich und teilweise mich mit den Häferln von dort ausgestattet. Schön sind sie ja nicht, aber sie waren halt gratis.
Und so ist es auch, dass der Rosenberger in erster Linie meinen Eltern gefällt. Obwohl ich dem Lokal da vielleicht ein bisschen unrecht tue. So schlecht ist es nicht. Man kann sich dort wunderbar mit jemanden auf einen Kaffee treffen oder mittags mal was essen. Oft hab’ ich mir einfach nen Salatteller mit einem Vorspeisenteller genommen. Da wurde dann alles draufgepackt, was sich irgendwie ausgeht.
Blöd ist nur, dass sich das Ganze über mehrere Stockwerke bzw. Kelleretagen erstreckt. Da kommt man sich komisch vor, wenn man mit einem Tablett voll mit Essen in nem Aufzug fährt. Aber man kann sich auch dann irgendwo unten hinsetzen und wenn man will stundenlang bleiben. Wie lang man sitzt, scherrt nämlich keinen.

Sehr großes Kellerlokal, das man von außen in einer Nebengasse der Kärntner Straße leicht übersieht — geht zwei Stockwerke in die Tiefe.
Auf einem künstlichen Marktplatz kann/​muss man sich sein Menü zusammensuchen: Antipastibuffet, Pasta– und Grillstand, Salatbuffet, hausgemachte Mehlspeisen, eigene Bäckerei; Fruchtsaftbar (frisch gepresste Säfte), Bierzapfsäule
Sitzplätze je nach Geschmack im original Wiener Kaffeehaus, Heurigenkeller, Gartenlaube, Oma’s Küche usw.
Wer die Rosenberger-​Restaurants an den österreichischen Autobahnen kennt, weiß, was ihn dort erwartet
