Zur Christl

Definitely worth the trip from Vienna! The Stammersdorfer Kellergasse is a cute cobble stoned street lined with wine cellars and finding its way through the vineyards.
There are several Heurigen along this street and at the beginning of the street its advertised which ones are open today.
At the Heurigen they serve their own wine.
We enjoyed the wine, food and joyous atmosphere at Zur Christl. The terrace overlooking the vineyards and with a view on Vienna is great! There is a buffet dinner where you pay by weight (and you don’t pay a lot!). Try the different local dishes! (potato-​aspargus bake, black pudding with potato, meatballs, fresh bread with different spreads, …)
The ladies all work very hard (which meant that we had to wait a bit before we could order our wine) and are wearing traditional Austrian clothes.
