Rating des Ortes: 5 Dun Laoghaire, Republic of Ireland
Amazing 100% original interior perfectly demonstrates a lavish lifestyle of one of the most important nobile families. It’s a true gem not to be missed if you are in the area. You can only visit the palace as a part of a guided tour(very interesting).

The Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka(which took 1st place on the list of 7 New Wonders of Poland) is worth a visit if you’re in the Lublin Voivodeship. It’s made up of four permanent collections and seasonal exhibits. There’s a little something for everyone. You can check out the Palace, if you want to feel royal and love baroque style. It’s mostly adorned with Zamoyski family heirlooms and houses historical artifacts and documents dedicated to the Prince of Pszczyna. The Chapel is a beautiful representation of Catholic art in the style of the royal chapel of Versailles. It features stained glass, an organ, and the Zamoyski’s coat-of-arms. A stroll through the Park should put a smile on the face of any urban gardener. The Palace grounds are covered with beautiful blooms and a perfectly manicured lawn. The Coach-house will leave you longing to travel, perhaps even by carriage. Many of the coaches on display are on loan from Poland’s largest collection of horse-drawn vehicles(normally housed in the Castle Museum of Łańcut). This display also showcases traveling tools from days of yore. You can sneak a peek at antique saddles, suitcases and other items that made long journeys easier. My favorite collection was Poland’s only Socialist-Realist Art Gallery. It mostly consists of Communist-era artwork that focuses on pictures, plaques, posters and large sculptures of the ideal working man and woman. There are many references to Lenin and Stalin, and a number of dismantled displays of former authoritarian dictators are inside and outside of the building. It was both impressive and oppressive to see all of this kept in one place. You got a real feel for the propaganda du jour. The grounds are open April through November and accept groups of 10 – 25 people. Visit the website for more information and to book your guided tour.
