The Qubus ranks as a 3 star hotel but only just.
Positives:
Friendly helpful staff in the restaurant.
Really great breakfast choice (saved the hotel from a worse rating).
Negatives:
Not really a 4 star hotel in my view, it plays the checklist game (ie hair dryer in the room as required to get 4 stars but no shampoo).
Dated and dreary interior reminiscent of true luxury in communist times but no longer.
One small towel in the bathroom. Only liquid soap and no shampoo.
Receptionist in the morning quite rude.
Evening meal poor, couldn’t decide if the pike perch was not fresh or just lived in muddy water. The kaszotto was dry and tasteless.
Wouldn’t go back except for a breakfast meeting.
