Walking into a Chińczyk, one shouldn’t expect much of an culinary experience. Even by that standard, Dong-A is below par. The biggest problem is the chef’s liberal use of sugar. My hot and sour soup was more like hot and sweet soup. I had to put in quite a bit of Maggi to balance it out. Another fault I found is that my fried chicken was obviously done in advance. Deep frying has a way of making everything taste good. The flip side is that if you let it sit around for a while, the fried batter will absorb moisture from the air and become kind of gross. I would have given this place two stars but for the good service.

Had dinner here several times. Great choice of oriental styles and flavours. Great big portions for a good price. Very meat heavy meal. Not much roasted vegetables etc. Most meals come with some rice and cold vegetables. These meals are Americanised so don’t expect a real oriental food experience. It is delicious nonetheless.
