This place is amazing! My friend and I ordered the Irish breakfast and the cinnamon apple pancakes. Both plates were amazing! I was also surprised at how inexpensive this restaurant was!

I was recommended this place by a Polish friend. She promised great food and a great value. This place really delivered — absolutely delicious pierogi. We tried the fried and boiled versions and both kinds were really good. We didn’t have time to try anything else but I’d definitely recommend Milkbar Tomasza. Great atmosphere and location too.

This was a great spot for breakfast on our last morning in Kraków before heading to Prague. The scrambled eggs with ham and toast was great, as were the potato pancakes with mushroom sauce. The meal and two expressos were very cheap and delicious.

One of my favourite places for lunch in the city centre. It’s a milk bar in name only. No surly staff behind the till, no prices ending in .97 .37 etc, you can’t buy potatoes individually or any other of that silliness. Best of all the food is delivered to your table rather you having to listen out for your order being called out. Not that you really need your food delivered to your table as the place is quite small(enough seating for maybe 20 people). The food here is awesome(I use that word unapologetically). My new favourite is the Irish breakfast. In second place are the paninis, despite the fact they don’t use conventional panini style«buns». All washed down with freshly-squeezed orange juice. If I could give this place six stars I probably would.

This is a hidden gem! Although, judging from the traffic, on my last visit, not so hidden anymore! I like everything about this place. The food is freshly prepaired and brought to your table. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The owner is a nice guy who will come and strike up a conversation when traffic is slower. He also prepares the meals. If you’re in Kraków and want a good meal in a charming place, def. check this place out! I stop in whenever I’m in Kraków.

My husband ordered the Irish breakfast, and I had the savory pancake(crêpe) with Spinache and cheese. The crêpe was really light and tasty with garlic cream sauce. Both were good. Next time, I would try the panini or Polish food. Service was not friendly, but I would still eat here again.

Disclosure: we are from the u.s. so pancakes are different for us. I ordered banana pancakes but they were really crepes. I loved them but I am writing the review so others aren’t surprised. My husband ordered banana fritters and they looked like banana pancakes. Both meals were tasty and I would go back. Nice atmosphere and inexpensive. My husband said the milk had a different flavor than what we are used, but it wasn’t a big deal.

Went here twice, it was so good! Small and friendly with a huge huge menu, and phenomenally cheap! Try the Irish breakfast if you have room — otherwise the poached eggs with bacon are also excellent! You can get a good meal here for about £2 so it’s well worth the trip!

I’d recommend this place any time of day. The prices were very fair and the food was delicious. Definitely try the hash with black pudding, bacon and apple breakfast hash.

Ever wonder what Poles would do to the concept of a 50’s American diner? Yeah me too! So I checked out this place that has basic elements of American and European breakfasts. I mean c’mon, a place that can serve bangers and Irish breakfast items next to savory crepes can’t be awful, right? Right! It was great and hit the spot on a sunny Krakow morning that was just a tinge of heat to make your back sweat a little, but you’re glad you were given the opportunity to walk the sun drenched streets and dodge the sun in the historic corridors of this fabulous medieval city turned cultural hotspot. And you won’t be the only one looking around people watching. There were tourists from all over the world in and out eating here. Picking up on the dialects and saying hello here and there was great. Funny how it works out that food can bring people together from all over the world in Poland. The service was B+, having to track down the waitress who is 15 ft away was a slight bother. The action is taking place in the kitchen behind the magic doors designed to keep peering eyes from staring too long. The food was a solid A for effort and presentation on little Ikea like plates and we had a great time just mellowing out with our morning meal. I got the crepes full of spinach and ricotta w/a side of frites: Pretty damn good and I will have to make them at home; need to buy a crêpe maker, already have the waffle iron… kitchen utensil/appliance junkie over here. It was reasonably priced given the location in the north east section of the city center. Will definitely stop on by when I want a fix of european food that’s usually not on the menu in Poland.

Nice, cute, simple, clean place. Great meal for the price. Menus also available in English. We had the Greek salad which was ok(feta cheese was not actual feta) — the ingredients were very fresh. Also had the white kielbasa sausage dish which was delicious. Great place for a quick bite to eat. Went back for breakfast a different day and the food was still very good. Definitely try the apple fritters! Also, nice clean bathroom and free wifi.

Worth every Zloty! Started with steaming HOT beet soup with potatoes.(I hate lukewarm anything!) Sweet and tangy flavors surprised yet satisfied my taste buds. Overflowing plate of fried chicken cutlet, fries and three different side salads came next. Cutlet fresh and got from the fryer and seasoned just right. Left totally happy and amazed this meal was so reasonably priced.

Die Milchbar ist ein typisches polnisches Restaurant. Dort bekommt man gute polnische Küche zum kleinen Preis. In Tomasza Milk Bar kann man sehr gut essen. Das Essen ist preiswert und lecker.

The milk bar is a cool little hang out in Kraków — great for breakfasts and lunches. The place has a hipster vibe with exposed brickwork and a brightly coloured paint job. We ordered breakfast and were not disappointed tasty and filling(scrambled eggs with bacon and bread roll). The service was quick and the food cheap!

Great food for the price. Central location to a few of the bars we were looking for also. We waltzed in and had meals totalling at $ 20aud for a dish and a drink each, and it was heaps of food. Worth checking out, I’d never had goulash before but if that’s the standard it’s delicious.

Huge fan. Everything on the menu is affordable and delicious. After coming here once I came back every day after. Their dumplings are out of this world, as are their potato pancakes. The staff is friendly and speaks English, free wifi, and quick service. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

Cute little place that was near our hotel in krakow. I was intrigued to come here because of krakow’s history with milkbars where the polish people came during soviet times and were able to congregate among others like them. The interior was nicely decorated, with communal and single tables. Bright colors and paintings on the walls. The menu itself it pretty diverse, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner items. We were there in the morning so we all had breakfast, I had a egg, cheese and homemade pesto ‘panini’ made to order, which was good choice, except the panini was not pressed. It was basically sandwich bread. Tasted good nonetheless. We also had the famous potato pancakes with sour cream which were quite greasy I must say. They were nice to eat but did not have a ton of potato inside. Tried their lattes, which were up to par, and the servers are all bilingual which made it really easy for us. Overall I thought the food here was good, service was prompt and ambiance was nice. Good place to hangout, have a quick bite and relax in the center.

Though this was a cute and inexpensive restaurant, it really wasn’t a milkbar. The husband and I went here for lunch. The girls behind the counter were friendly and were nice about our language difficulty. We ended up ordering a potato pancake with goulash and the dill soup. We got our soup quickly and it was fairly good. The veggies tasted fresh and it certainly tasted like dill. Then we proceeded to wait… and wait… and wait. It turned out that the ladies accidentally gave our food to another table and didn’t realize it. Eventually they worked it out and made a new one for us, but we were stuck there for awhile. The goulash was good, very flavorful, but the pancakes were soggy. I would recommend this place over anywhere near the square(the prices are way better), but it isn’t my favorite milkbar.
