Absolutely fabulous place for those who like hamburgers as an idea, but not necessary with meat inside ;) The place offers a wide range of vegetarian burgers, each one with a nice combination of ingradients inside. I also liked the concept of their healthy fries — a mixture of traditional fries and fried beetroot pieces. My choice was«kompot» as a drink and tofu burger — with mashrooms, avocado, salad, leek and mayonnaise — really big and delicious, I wouldn’t exchange it for any kind of classic burger ;) The restaurant has a simple and clean interior design. The stuff was quite quick when I came. The only problem was entrance door — so heavy that it was difficult to open it.

After my disastrous first visit, I gave it another go but now reduced the rating to 1 star as I definitely wouldn’t go back. First of all it really stinks when you enter, a very unpleasant smell. Fortunately you quickly stop noticing. Secondly the service. Someone in the kitchen had a cunning plan to prepare the fries for all the customers and serve them before preparing the burgers. The result was that everyone got their fries 15 or 20 minutes before the burger and obviously they were long gone when the burger arrived. It wouldn’t seem to be the toughest task to prepare the fries and cook the falafel(in my case) in parallel, just poor organisation and lack of thought for the customers. Finally the food. Last time the vegetable fries were inedible due to the amount of salt, this time I especially asked to have them without, which apparently meant excluding the spice mix(posypka). The fries were OK but nothing special as all seasoning had been removed. My concern that they started the falafel after the fries were served seemed not to be the case when I tasted them, they had been cooked for a very long time and were really dry. I normally love falafel but not those. The composition in the bun was not great either. Having said that, the falafel burger was still better than the seitan burger I had last time.

Went here on a sunday evening and there was exactly a table for two left; it was quite busy but luckily not too loud as in some other places. We ordered fries(potaties, beetroot and celery), a seitan burger and a quinoa burger. Furthermore one beer and one carrot juice. The idea is that you order at the bar, and grab your own drink from the fridge(and bring your dishes to the kitchen at the end). Waiting time around 10 – 15 minutes. The burgers were delicious, even though they are made from other stuff they tasted quite a lot like meat, certainly not bland. Good sauce also. We were very full at the end. Price/quality ratio was very good. Oh and there was free cake(for girls) because it was women’s day! We’ll be back for sure.

This is my third time eating here and each time has been flawless. The quality of the food, service, and restaurant all made this experience one of a kind. They serve 100% vegan options, and on Sundays they serve brunch from 10am for $ 4.50! Be sure to try this place if you are in Krakow, that is for sure!

Little did we know that this unobtrusive vegan, organic place would be hold one of the best meal experiences in Kraków when we stepped in the first time. The menu is in Polish only, but the kind staff help with the translating. The American burger isn’t an option on the menu, but something the sign on the door recommended(and something I highly recommend too!!). You chose from white, medium and dark bread. The staff said that the«meat» in the American burger was seitan but I don’t think it was, more of a chickpea burger style. But superdelicious and served with an amazing hot sauce and lots of grilled veggies. We had a side order of what we thought was chips but it turned out to be grilled root veggies. So fresh, tasty and healthy, much better than chips of course. The hamburger buns really crisp and good too. They have freshly made smoothies and juices, but I went for some really lovely, bottled organic fruit juices(elderberry and apples was my favourite). Nova Krova doesn’t serve alcohol(July 2014) but you can conveniently buy beer or wine at the neighbouring liquor store and drink it at the restaurant. We returned for more meals during our stay in Kraków, I opted for seitan burger and tofu burger, very tasty but none was quite as good as the American style one. The vegan cakes are moist and delicious too. The prices very affordable, food made to order and the service fast and friendly. A must visit for good(vegan), tasty, organic, healthy food when in Kraków I’d say!
