Zielone Tarasy

One of the most picturesque places in Cracow, this simple restaurant, or maybe elaborate café as you might prefer to think of it, specialises in vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and otherwise generally «healthy» food. More importantly, it specialises in big portions of tasty food at very reasonable prices.
The only downside to this rooftop garden venue with coffee and cocktails is that it closes so early!

Great rooftop bar, with amazing views of Krakow. The beers are reasonably priced, the food is alright but nothing too special– a mix of Polish food with pizzas and wraps.
Fantastic place to chill out in summer and definitely worth it for the view alone!

The food here is truly awful. As it is classified as a restaurant, 2 stars are generous. My companion had the trout special which must have been discounted from the fish farm to solve an overcrowding issue. I have never seen more bones in a fish and the actual meat tasted of mud. Other people were also complaining about it in the lift on the way down. I went for the safe option of pasta which unfortunately was not safe in their hands. The pasta was overcooked and the whole dish was a stodgy mess reminiscent of a bad student pasta bake.
So why 2 stars for such rubbish and why are other reviews positive? The ambience of the place is very nice, views are great (if you standup). My advice is come for a coffee or a drink but eat elsewhere.

Hi there… it has been a while since this morning… i had fantastic breakfast on the top terrace of Herbewo… Sun was shining and I had coffee and Racuchy — thing of the day… it was like sitting in the garden… having rooftop views alike… having my breakfast today served in a timely manner… all tasted like I was on holidays… gentle wind was blowing and swept all my sorrows down to Kleparz :)
I want to visit again… I was happy and relaxed… service very attentive… all made me ready for Unilocaling…

Zielone Tarasy has one of nicest views in Kraków. If you come here, it’s going to be for that reason. The quality of the food here is above average but nothing to write home about. It’s a bistro with an emphasis on healthy eating. The lunch menu typically offers three choices. There’s always a vegetarian option. Meat dishes tend to be weaker. Veggie dishes seem to get more care and creative flare. Even plain-​old surówka tastes surprising good here.
The prices here are amazingly low given the location. The only downside is the slow service. The waitresses here are nice enough but the roof-​top terrace is fairly big. They are liable to not see the arrival of new guests. It also takes time to transverse the distance. Be prepared to wait a little if you choose to sit at a table with a nice view. If you sit inside then you don’t run into this problem.
