Loved my visit here! It was my last day in Krakow and was exhausted after pulling a double tour day of Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. Felt that I needed another quick tour of old town and a bit of dessert after consuming sausages from the local grill shop. The interior is a whimsical take on the konditorei shops in Sweden and the colors are very Swiss with lots of red and white. The best way to order is at the counter then to take a seat. Bear in mind that the process takes time but after two weeks in Europe, I had grown accustomed to taking my time in general. My approach to consuming food is going to take a little time out so that I can enjoy my time in establishments without feeling the urge to rush-eat-get out. I ordered a cup of coffee(black) with several slices of their popular cakes. The cakes in Krakow are different in that they are denser than the Parisian cakes and not as fluffy. They are also not as sweet, but I loved the atmosphere, the chance to relax, and just overall being abroad in such a nice spot with friendly people and culture.

I’m very disappointed. Slow as hell. It took 30 minutes waiting for cappuccino( Everything else is the same as in any other place. The only plus is that it’s open until 10PM and a bit longer after.

We had a nice slice of polish cheesecake, hot chocolate and some tea in this neat little open air shop. I don’t know what the ice cream is like, although the bins were colorful and well presented. The young ladies that worked there were very pleasant and helpful. This is not a high end tea house but it is a clean and pleasant place to stop for a quick treat, and has a surprisingly large selection of coffees, teas and goodies. Enjoy!
