It looks good and I bet it’s nice but stood in front of the bar tenders at the bar for a few minutes and hey didn’t even talked to us.

Very nice location. First Funk and blues music, later balkanBeats and yes the people danced in the tables. The evening escalated quickly from a Drink in a relaxed bar to a total balkan dance rampage. Very nice :)

Singer has a label of one of the most famous bars in Kraków and there’s a reason for that! Great location in the heart of jewish district, unique interior designs, music connected with jewish culture and possibilty to dance on the tables during crazy weekend parties make it a legend. The name of the place is connected with sewing machines that serve there as tables. There are also a few«normal» tables and those serve not only for drinking, but for dancing as well. Personally I avoid this place on friday/saturday nights because it’s way too crowdy and chaotic then. As opposite I love to choose it during the week when it’s more empty and silent — especially during summer when there is a possibility to seat outside, observe the day passing by slowly in the area, pose for tourist’s pictures ;) and enjoy a cold drink with friends.

A rustic old world Krakow watering hole set in the hipster Jewish district. From the morbid artwork on the wall, elaborate use of candles, to the Singer sewing machine tables on which you can rest your drink — this establishment is sure to impress. Do try the walnut wodkas. I’ve tried many, and can highly recommend them. To top your trip to Singer bar off, be sure to grab a Zapiekanki(a very special Polish food to accompany drinking) from one of the many vendors in the nearby square. #singer #krakow

I was so looking forward to my visit here, expecting something similar to fabulous Jozef K. in Gdansk/Sopot. Sadly it wasn’t anything like it, more a pub than café. No food, only a very small selection of cakes. Cute granny interior, as Poland does so well, and I love the idea with all the SInger sewing machine tables. But the concept wasn’t well executed and the staff wasn’t friendly. All and all a disappointing blah experience.

Singer bar is almost legendary for the fact that when the dancefloor, ie the space in front of the bar is full people dance on the tables. It’s quite a small place and doesn’t get busy until after midnight(or sometimes later). Usually there is a good mix of locals, foreigners and ex-pats.

Neato bar in a very hip location. We saw a Mazarati drive by… It was definitely a younger crowd but really great for people watching if you sit outside.

Unassuming from the outside, we almost walked straight past. The doors were lined with curtains to banish the winter chill and once we stepped in I immediately felt enveloped in the atmosphere of Singer. The décor and lighting combine perfectly to create a chilled and somewhat timeless ambiance. The Singer sewing machine tables are perfectly at home in the surroundings. Everything about the place just works. Service was fast and friendly, with a good selection to choose from. If I lived in Krakow I could see myself being a regular here, it’s cool and quirky in equal measure.

How cool is this place. A top hang out bar where your table is actually a singer sewing machine. Great concept. They have a huge selection of Polish and international beers and spirits. The ambience just draws you in. It was a dark winters night when we arrived there and the tables were lit by candle light which really added to the feel of the place. The time we were there it was quite quiet being mid week but that was fine. We were also told that this bar can be quite rowdy on the weekends, which would also be good to experience for a bit of fun. A must try place, don’t visit this side of town without coming here.

Another cool bar in the trendy & lively Jewish quarter, Kazimierz. We came across this in a guide book on our our recent trip to Krakow and then stumbled across it after a day of sightseeing in the area and then decided to return on Friday night for drinks before my birthday meal. The bar has a theme of sewing machines as the name may suggest & the tables have Singer sewing machines on the tables which is very cool. The layout of the place looks like an old fashioned Polish house and what you might expect someone’s Nan’s place to look like. We sampled hazelnut vodkas here and they were lovely and ridiculously cheap — the equivalent of £1! The barman was really friendly & helpful as I asked a few questions. Would definitely return and recommend. Located in the heart of the Jewish quarter so convenient for trying out other cafes & bars in the area.

Leeeet’s paaaarty.

OK, let’s state things clearly, this is a lovely bar. Lovely décor, lighting, music… BUT what an arrogant, obnoxious, arsehole of a barman!!! But don’t let that put you off, don’t believe he works all shifts so you might get lucky
