It is sometimes hard to find good coffee in Poland, but Tektura is brilliant. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee, then look no further. I saw the reviews of this place, and so that there was a Unilocal event here, so I thought I would try it. Best decision that I made. If you are hipster you are going to be coming home to your mother land! Apple laptops every, as there is free wifi, you cannot escape the hipster vibe. But ignoring that this place makes a great cup of coffee. So if you are looking for a good cup of coffee, well broad with love, then come on in.

After the coffee-tasting Unilocal event, at which I tried a number of the interesting styles they have on offer here, I came back to try the one I missed — a cold brew coffee. But they’d run out! Now perhaps oddly, I was quite pleased that they told me they’d run out — it would be so easy to simply make something up and serve it, but they preferred not to. Automatically gets them a few stars! Much more importantly, on the subject of the coffee I actually did drink. Now, I ordered a flat white, as I like strong coffee but wanted something I could walk with and sip for a while, but what I got wasn’t really a flat white. It was a lot closer than you get in most places, which seem to think a flat white and a cappuccino are the same thing, but it still had too much milk… … Making it probably the best double-shot latte I’ve had in years! It was a fantastic rich coffee taste, with perfectly foamed milk. I look forward to going back and trying more!

We are digital nomads hunting down good coffices all over the world, and we found Krakow to be quite a challenge! It has plenty cafés, but we were looking for something more like a coffeeshop. Tektura is not only a great place to work with a stable Wifi speed of around 10 Mb, good chairs and tables and outlets — it also has a relaxed atmosphere with happy and social employees and a couch room in the back filled with cozyness and board games. Food and drinks are cheap and of good quality. Their paninis and sandwiches are great, but their cakes were a little stale. Only minus is the lack of aircon, but they have fans which is still a lot in Krakow where most businesses apparently seem to have forgotten that summers are hot…

Sehr guter Laden :)

Ul. Krupnicza seems to be a good street so far for quality coffee. Upon entry you are greeted with the traditional blackboard, littered with chalk menu scratchings from head to toe. A large family-style dining table lies to your right, in front of a large window looking out onto the cobbles. Veering around the corner we meet several small, surprisingly comfortable tables for the solo café goer, pairs, trios, quartets and what have you. I had brought my book along with me and with the help of an impressive cup of coffee, happily flicked away at various magazines and papery things for a good hour. Tektura seems to be tech friendly with a good few power-points and, although I may be mistaken, probably free wi-fi too. The toilets were a delight. I don’t know why, but this particular toilet has remained in my memory as a positive excretory experience. In the final quarters of Tektura, there are a couple sofas for the ultimate café afternoon comfort. Although I did not try any of the food, myself and the cake on the bar shared a few awkward moments of extended eye contact. My semi-alcoholic eye, on the other hand, running wild as it does, spied what seemed to be a rather good selection of bottled beers, which I was pleased to have seen and all of which could be recommended. All in all: laid-back, good quality, good coffee and hip enough for contemplation.
