Is a pretty nice place, with live music that time I was there. The waitress knew English so that’s pretty important! The gave us cabbage and pickles for free… But we didn’t really like the food we ordered, but the pieroggy we OK and the soup too. It also could be cheaper…

Hotel recommended Esplanada as an authentic Polish restaurant. This being my third visit to Lodz and having our business partners bring us top their authentic Polish restaurants I was skeptical. My companion ordered the Argentine steak and I ordered the Schnitzel. We started with a tomato and cheese plate as well. As advertised portions were plentiful and of good quality. Best I’ve had in Poland no but certainly a venue I would return to. Nice beer and vodka selection, service was good and having English speaking waitresses is a plus. Be aware they do not accept AMEX.

A lot of food! Way too much. However the quality is rather poor. The staff is not attentive or friendly. We went there for a family Sunday brunch and all of us felt exactly the same. We will not visit again.

I can highly recommend this Polish chain restaurant if you like hearty, tasty Polish meals. Portions are extremely generous: Do not let the waiters/waitresses convince you to have a starter and a main, one of either will be sufficient. I went twice and can recommend the«Steak Tartar»: A rather large portion of raw minced beef(weighing half a pound, I would estimate) comes with all sorts of dips, salads, and a choice of breads. Ask for raw garlic! The portion is huge, no main course is needed — especially when you should wish to drink one of their enormous beer steins. As a main course, I chose«Schnitzel»(pork escalope) which is also very common traditional dish in Germany and Austria. Beware: The Schnitzels have the size of a pizza! It was excellent and came with potato salad or chips. The place is excellent value for money and conveniently located in Lodz’s main raod.
