Bear with me — I traveled to Poland in July of 2010, so this might not be the most up-to-date review. This little restaurant is absolutely stunning. A rustic, old-timey feel with lots of touches of the symbols of Judaism I grew up with: gorgeous antique menorahs, hand-painted drawings, elaborate candle sticks and crocheted table cloths. If I remember correctly, the owner also makes her own handmade jewelry and displays it in the restaurant, and I bought a few pretty, delicate pairs of earrings from her. Since it was summer we sat outside, a large group of us and we were accommodated nicely. Some of the dishes we had included falafel, salad with feta, chopped liver, and pierogies, of course! All the food was delicious — take a look at the pictures, looking at them makes me want to travel back there just to eat all over again! I will say that I ate A LOT of pierogies while in Poland for a week and these were hands down the best ones I tried. Not at easy feat! This hidden gem is a must-try if you’re in Lublin.
