Monte Vino

A perfect spot for crowd spotting, right on the big and famous plaza in Sopot. Its prime location is one of the better here, and gives you a nice overview. Inside is pretty cramped, but they have a larger terrace outdoors, so i suggest you grab a seat here if you can. Although you are seated outside you have to hazzle the maze when you need to flush the system. Outside it can be a bit cold and windy during evening, but you can always smile and ask for a blanket.
Menu isnt huge, but they have enough to walk you through 3 courses if you want to. Quality is appropriate and pricing affordable!
If you are up for a dinner, lunch or drink this might be a good option for you and your party!

Great place for quality Italian food and wine in the heart of Sopot. The place is small, but have a lovely and picturesque terrace. The choice of dishes is also very small, but do not hesitate to ask for a dishes of the day. Their seafood is legendary, you can also try fresh truffles risotto. Charming staff (for me at least). Very good selection of European and world wines — you can so buy (considerably cheaper for takeaway) a good bottle here and take home or drink it on the beach (it is legal to drink in Sopot beaches between 9 am and 7 pm). I love the place, especially on Sunday midday, over a fuzzy glass of Moët & Chandon: just to see the relaxed urban life and, of course incidentally, be seen on.

We grabbed lunch here: I had a well-​executed goat cheese salad, and my husband enjoyed the melon/​prosciutto and salmon/​eggplant cake appetizers. The breeze was nice, and the location was great for people-​watching.

A little higher price than many places, but still not bad considering it is right on the square, and the quality of the food is very good.

Ich hatte die letzten 10 Jahre immer wieder geschäftlich im Raum Dreistadt zu tun.
Da sind wir sehr oft auch mit Kunden und Geschäftspartnern Abends zum Essen ausgegangen. Da stellte sich immer wieder die Frage wohin im Raum Sopot, Gdynia und Danzig. Das Monte Vino hat eine ehrliche mediterane Küche, die Auswahl ist nicht übergroß dafür ist alles sehr lecker! Das Rindersteak ist sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man es medium bestellt dann ist es auch medium.
Herausragend in Sopot ist die Weinauswahl! Wirklich sehr gute Weine und alle zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Das Lokal ist relativ klein, deshalb lohnt es sich vorher anzurufen und einen Tisch zu reservieren. Sitzt man dann einmal kommt man in den Genuß eines sehr, sehr aufmerksamen Services (was in Polen leider immer noch die große Ausnahme ist). Im Sommer gibts auch eine Terasse mit Blick auf die Monte Cassino Strasse von der aus man das rege Treiben dort gut beobachten kann. Auch bei der Rechnung erlebt man keine böse Überraschung: Alles im grünen Bereich, nichts überteuert. Ich besuche das Lokal auch gerne alleine und genieße auch mal am Nachmittag einen leckeren Espresso oder einen Prosecco /​Aperol. Also bis bald mal wieder im Monte Vino!
