It was a windy, stormy day and we couldn’t find Kalayan because the gps was running amok, we did however managed to smell it from very far away. It took a while to start the initial ordering procedure but once it started it was delicious, freshly prepared and very satisfying. Our first meal soups tasted sweetly and mildly. I had a coconut galanga and chicken in mmine, the other one consisted of cream tomatos and lots of coriander with chunks of stew. The apetizers came then and they were just ok, The indian cheese grilled in Indian spices was just nothing special and deepfried crunchy vagetables were fine but again not that special. We shared the main meal: ordering meat mix sizler which we stuffed with chapati bread and washed down with banana lassi and some chai masala. It took 98 zlotys to pay the bill which was not the cheapest dinner but then again we ate quite a lot and left the place with the smile on our faces. The décor tries to pretend it’s an indian boudoire but it’s still a little bar with garden furnitures outside. The waitres was very friendly and it was a pleasant addition to this experience.
