Manekin

If you are American or present yourself as one here you will be denied proper service. Aparently pancakes are not available even when everyone else in the restaurant is eating them. The beers brought out are warm. I also have to say that the waitress attitude is also piss poor. If you are also trying to have a conversation inside don’t bother: the music is so loud it’s as of you are in a club. Basically this «westernised» club like restaurant is run by discriminating women ‘during that time of the month.

Crêpe is better than pancakes! Portion is very big and t gets very filling after awhile. Queue waiting time and order time is approx 30 mins

This was a great place and from the moment they open there is a question of people out if the door so be prepared to wait but it’s definitely worth it.
Me and my partner shared zurek and a lasagne crêpe it was delicious and you got loads. I then had the pancakes with Nutella and m&ms wow this was amazing and you got loads I was too full after my main course so I took the rest home. I prob wouldn’t have two courses again as you got so much food and I was way too full. The staff were really friendly and helpfull highly reccomend if your in Warsaw.

Need i say more. Everything we ordered was fantastic and the portions were huge. We shared a main and desert. My sister ordered pancakes. She got 4 and there was enough for 4 people. So she ate one and got the rest to take out

It’s a different thing in Warsaw: a place devoted only to crepes and pancakes (sweet and sour) and I’m a fan for that.
Pros:
— big diversity in the menu will please everyone — meat lovers, vegetarians or a sweet mouth.
— It’s big. Yes, the portion is really enough for 1 person. Or to share — also perfect.
— Prices. Crêpe with meat + other ingredients can be around 16−18zl. Trust me, is worth it. Fresh ingredients, big crêpe (the size of a square plate) and full of ingredients inside. Plus, you can choose 2 sauces, which goes very well with it.
— Decoration. Is different from other places and you feel welcomed there :)
Cons:
— waiting time. I think is the main complaint of anyone that ever tried to go there once in life. I went twice, I waited 30min in the queue outside. EVERYONE DOES. Spring, Autumn, Winter or Summer. Is it –14degrees? WHO CARES. Also, inside you’ll wait +30min for your food to be served.
Other obs: hot wine is good but not very big — 9zl. Crêpe with salmon is really good
Although all the pros, I truly advise you to go there with a lot of free time. Is the perfect place for a cold Sat/​Sunday, to go for something hot, sweet, caloric or salty. The waiting will be hard but won’t regret it — at least once in life.

So, nach einiger Zeit mal wieder eine Restaurantbewertung nach dem üblichen Schema. Viel Spaß beim Lesen.
Ambiente
Nun ja, das Ambiente ist etwas schwer zu beschreiben. Es ist weder ungemütlich, noch ein Ort, an dem man Stunden verbringen möchte. Im Endeffekt ist es ein etwas dicht bestuhltes Lokal in modernem Design. Da ich mittags zum Lunch hier war, fand ich es völlig okay. Aber auch abends ist es sicherlich ein netter Laden. Nur vielleicht nicht, wenn man ein romantisches Date zu zweit haben möchte. Da gibt es sicher bessere Restaurant oder Locations.

Qualität & Auswahl
Nun ja, nun zu dem für mich in diesem Fall wichtigsten Punkt: das Essen ist einfach klasse! Hier gibt es «naleśniki» (dt.: Pfannkuchen), eine polnische Spezialität in allen Variationen! Von herzhaft bis süß ist alles dabei. Das Menü wird mit Suppen und frischen Säftem abgerundet. Auch die Weinauswahl ist nett. Da ich hier absolut nichts zu bemängeln hatte und das Essen erste Sahne war, gebe ich:

Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass der Laden um die Mittagszeit bis zum letzten Tisch ausgebucht und besetzt war, waren die Servicekräfte etwas im Stress. Gleichwohl freundlich und nett.

Preis
Selbst für Warschauer Verhältnisse ist der Laden noch günstig. Obwohl er mitten im Zentrum ist und die Preise in den letzten Jahren doch etwas angezogen haben, gibt es die naleśniki für ca. 14 bis 18 PLN. Das sind ca. 3 bis 4 Euro.

Fazit
Wieder einmal ein Restaurant, bei dem ich Wiederholungstäter werde. Super Qualität und ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-​Leistungs-​Verhältnis! Einziges Manko: Der Laden ist angesagt! Als ich zum Lunch hier war, hatte ich Glück, der Warteschlange zuvorzukommen, die sich im Eingangsbereich bildete. Abends wird es wahrscheinlich ähnlich sein. Also: entweder reservieren oder etwas Zeit mitbringen.

Brilliant food. Great prices. Interesting wallpaper and design. Helpful service. What else can you wish for?

I’ve been here several time because it’s one of the best places in Warszawa where to eat! They have a lot of crepes (saulty and sweetes) and also some kind of polish soups.
Zurek is amazing and it costs just 9zl… go there it’s a good choice!

Absolutely terrible. The first two bites of the crepes are OK, but eat any more and you will be tasting the taste of old garlic and cheese for the rest of the week. Save your money and get something from the trash bin outside.

Der Besuch im Manekin war leider ein Reinfall! Nachdem uns beim Betreten des Restaurant keine Beachtung geschenkt wurde (die Kellner liefen ständig an uns vorbei), haben wir uns selbst einen freiwerdenden Tisch gesetzt. nach 20min wurden uns weder Menükarten gegeben noch eine Bestellung aufgenommen.
Wir haben den Laden dann wieder verlassen und uns etwas anderes gesucht. Das Personal ist hier echt überfordert!

Apparently a popular chain in Poland that just made it to Warsaw. Couple of times I passed by this place there was a huge line outside. I finally made it here on Thursday around 3 pm, and got seated in 5 min. We ordered potato soup, 2 kinds of crapes and mulled wine. Oh! that potato soup… was just insane. Creamy, smooth, topped with sauteed onion and fried bacon — heaven. Crapes were huge and delicious, I tried spinach mozzarella, and chicken with mushrooms in bechamel sauce. These were not the best crapes I ever had, but were pretty decent, made with fresh ingredients and you get to choose from dozens of kinds. What was absolute surprise is the check! 48 zl (!) for everything I mentioned is crazy cheap. No wonder there are all these people lined up outside.
