Trzecia Waza

Very slow service. They start serving lunch at 1200. Looks like they also serve a breakfast earlier but that wasn’t communicated. Ice coffee here is probably one of the best I’ve had in Poland. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed looking and not attentive. I had to walk inside the restaurant (sat outside) twice to get her attention for menus and since she never came out again had to do another visit indoors to have her come out to order drinks. Then had to flag her down to put in an order for lunch. See a trend? Pretty shit service.
The food was nothing to write home about. Collective we even agreed the food was about ²⁄₅ stars worthy. The gnocchi was a dish I enjoyed. The halibut had undercooked risotto and the potato pancake earned this comment: «I can make this better at home».
I would recommend going with their homemade ice coffees and the burgers looked really good if you want to give that a try.

3 Waza is the new restaurant where Local Bistro used to be at the very top of Plac Zamkowy. It is very similar to Local Bistro in that there is a Burger menu and a regular menu, and the interior is obviously exactly the same, but it seems that this menu changes less and has a more solid selection of food.
At first glance the menu is very limited, but there is a nice selection of starters, a few good soups, and some solid looking meat dishes. I’d really like to try the duck here. During the day they also serve lunches for 15 zlty — which usually include meat, salads, and some sort of potato. These are good. The meals are averagely priced and are very tasty. I think I’ve had the best chlodnik of the summer here so far. The thing I like the most here though is the iced coffee. They don’t put sugar in it but it’s still sweet and they serve it in a huge glass with lots of ice cubes. It’s wonderful.
The restaurant is obviously well situated right off of the square, so the view is beautiful and the outdoor seating is underneath a colonnade on a raised platform. Bigger parties are easily accommodated both inside and out.
Also the service is quite good here. The waiters are attentive and make an effort to make sure you are comfortable. They come back and check with you frequently. Overall I’m very happy with this place for lunch, for drinks, for sitting around sipping something nice and people watching.
