I’ve been to Frida before with my husband. It was a long time ago. My husband tried the tomato soup which was really good. I don’t exactly remember his main course was, but mine was grilled garlic shrimps(i think). They were really good but it was like 6 or maybe 7 shrimps only. This time i went with a friend. We got nachos which was a bit of a disappointment. It’s like tortilla chips you get from a store and a little bit of cheese spread on them. So basically you could do this at home! And it would cost you roughly 3 zł! So if you want my advice, don’t order the nachos. My friend ordered the corn soup. I tried it and it was good to me; not as good as the tomato soup for sure though. Bu maybe that was because the taste of ginger was so apparent that i didn’t like it. I liked the salty feta cheese flavor with the sweetness of the corn creamy soup, though. Maybe without the ginger it would’ve been good. I ordered shrimp tacos. They served me two big tacos. It was great, if only the shrimps were more flavored at least with salt, it would’ve been greater. One taco made me full and i took the rest home. The interior is really cool. It makes you feel like you’re really in a Mexican restaurant. The service is good too. The waiter was nice. However, i think that it’s pricy, and you could actually find cheaper Mexican restaurants in Warsaw.

The great thing about the place is that they have a lunch special for just 19zl. It comes with a small drink, soup, and wrap. I mean I know I’m paying less than usual for lunch, but I still think they can do better. The food was decent. Service was fine. But I’ve been to numerous Mexican restaurants and this one just didn’t seem to impress me. The restaurant is small and intimate, I suggest maybe going for dinner instead of lunch. The fajitas from the table next to us looks amazing. Maybe I’ll try that next time.

1) The location of the restaurant is great. It is a lane of restaurants and tiny boutiques and it’s a great area to walk around. 2) The décor of the restaurant is very different and very nice. The paintings in the restaurant seemed very unique. 3)They have outdoor seating in the front and garden seating in the back. The garden seating is sort of fenced in which adds a lot pf privacy. 4) The food is very very good. The guacamole deserves a special mention. I got a tofu fajita which was great. 5) The people are nice and friendly.

Named after the painter Frida Kahlo, the restaurant at Nowa Swiat serves food that arguably is among the best Mexican around. There were multiple gluten-free options(always a good test), and the«patronne» brought us corn tortillas she had baked herself. The fajitas were perfectly balanced with spices and topped with the most tasty home-made guacamole.(You realize you have eaten a lot of tame stuff before) The staff was friendly«can-do!» type of people. the chef had been in Mexico to study and collect recipes. They will serve you the real thing. The restaurant is decorated with copies of Kahlo paintings which gives the place intense atmosphere. If you are after a special experience, this is the place.

Delicious margaritas. Had a bit of a problem with a waitress that brought us strawberry margaritas, instead of ordered original ones, and made it sound like it was our fault that she brought us the wrong kind. But after we got the right ones, it was good from there. Food was delicious, worth quite a wait. We found the tables a bit too crowded on the patio, no room to maneuver the chairs at all. Also a bit pricey, but isn’t the whole Warsaw ? Paid over $ 100 for dinner for 3.

Things I immediately like about Frida before I even have a bite of what she has to offer. 1. The ambiance of the restaurant. Cozy. Candle lit. Not too dim with restaraunt themed music playing not too loudly in the backround. 2. Our friendly and attentive waitress. She approached us as soon as we walked in with a genuine smile. 3. The actual layout of the restaurant itself. There are a bunch of areas that could be dedicated to a group or to just a single couple. The dishes we ordered were the guacamole and chips with the chickhen fajitas. Then we were seated right next to the front window on the left, which was very nice because it was fun for people watching on an early Saturday evening. The food was delicious. There is one thing I DIDN’T like about Frida, I know it’s picky; but it has to be. They said that my fajitas came with a «Pinto Bean Mouse». I know for a fact those are NOT pinto beans. Its disappointing for a restaurant on Nowy Swiat to falsely advertise«Pinto Bean Mouse“When they are CLEARLY mashed up red beans. Which have have a completely different taste, look and consistancy than pinto beans! GETPINTOBEANS. STOPLYINGABOUTHAVINGPINTOBEANSIFTHEYAREACTUALLYREDBEANS.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere! So fun and artistic, a great ode to Frida. You have to check out the toilet in the Ladies Room. Haha! ;-) It was like a little taste of home while visiting my family in Zyrardow. I felt like I was at a Margaritas back home in the US(New Hampshire to be exact). Delicious margarita and guacamole with nachos. A great placefor a small group to meet up, have some drinks and some yummy authentic tasting Mexican food. I will definitely be back next time I visit Warsaw!

The Friday night food trails continue. We(me and my friend) were looking for a different place but gave up. Right when we did so, we were standing on opposite Frida so we decided to try this.(finding parking may be a bit of a challenge here!) At 8 pm on a Friday evening, the place was almost full, but we were lucky to get a table for two. Then started the series of surprises, some funny, some questioning. I asked for a hot wine and my friend ordered a beer. We shared enchiladas with chicken for starters. It was very bland. The sauces helped a little but it still wasn’t enough. Any glass of hot wine usually has a lemon slice in it, this one the waiter served me had 3 big pieces, as if I had asked for lemon juice with lemons in it! I took a visit to rest room after the glass of wine and starters. I was in for a happy surprise, it easily was the most colorful and pretty restroom that I had ever seen. Flowers, painted seats!(I didn’t want to upload a picture of a restroom on Unilocal, but it truly deserved it). Our waiter was a little lost all the while. Probably his first day/week at work, giving him the benefit of doubt. While my burrito came, he got some salmon dish instead of the pork/roasted potatoes that my friend ordered. He was quick to apologize and corrected his mistake later. My burrito was far better than the starter experience. It was served with rice and the usual sauces. The filling was well cooked and had interesting flavor to it, though the tortilla was slightly hard. My next glass of wine(a normal one this time) was a good combination with the food. My friend’s food, when it finally came was also quite good. The next surprise element was a tap dancer :). I personally found it entertaining.(my friend, me who is more Spanish than me found it amusing about seeing an blonde tap dancer). She performed 3 – 4 times during the course of the evening for about 3 – 4 mins every time. The place was not the most cheapest ones in terms of prices(beer:15, wine:11, all main courses were ~ 35). Overall a place of mixed experiences. Might come back here if I have good company.

Mexican restaurant in the most popular street of Warsaw. Nice, décor, decent service, average food. I had a pork fajita and it was quite tasty, but I wouldn’t say it was the best Mexican food I have had. There was a group playing mexican and latin music, but they weren’t that good to be honest.

We’ve all been there, right? Looking forward to that first bite of something you have been craving for a while. This was me in the case of Mexican food. Since moving to Poland three months ago I haven’t had Mexican, which right up there with Thai was one of my go-to favorites. My anticipation had built up so much that I almost didn’t want to try it here because I was afraid I would be disappointed. Anyway, you can probably guess where this review is going with Frida – that’s right disappointment. The burrito I ordered was hard like so hard I struggled with my knife to cut it! The filling was good but the tortilla is such an important part of the burrito that I can’t let it slide. How do you cook a tortilla so that it is almost impenetrable? The service was okay and the pricing isn’t terrible but this experience put me off to trying Frida’s other offerings.

Nice place on the main tourist road with not so high prices, great designe and good food. I had fajitas with beef and it was really good. The waiter was nice and helpful. They have also promotions like buy 2 tequilas get one free or 2 fajitas pay for one and a half.
