Hotel Sofitel

Das Sofitel ist schon ob seiner zentralen Lage prädestiniert als Übernachtungsstätte für Besucher von Wroclaw. Zentraler geht wirklich nicht. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet, mein Luxury-​Zimmer hatte einen Ausblick auf ein sehr schön saniertes Haus gegenüber.
Was mir negativ auffiel: sonntags war beim Frühstück, obwohl es bereits nach 8 Uhr war, die Showküche noch nicht besetzt. :(Beim Checkin meinte man erst ich hätte kein Frühstück gebucht, obwohl das bei meiner Rate kostenlos inklusive war. Auch meinen Platinstatus hatte man zuerst als Classicstatus gewertet und erst nach Klärung bekam ich dann das mir gemäß der LeClub Vereinbarung zustehende Upgrade.

Great location near the city center, shops and businesses. Clean updated room, comfortable bedding, nice bathroom. About $ 150 US per night included a lovely breakfast buffet with some cooked to order items. The spa was also nice and I had a lomi lomi booked as a walk in on my first jet lagged night. Only 4 stars because although I was on a non smoking floor, the hallway (but not my room) smelled of smoke. It improved near the elevators, so it was clearly either people smoking in their rooms or the hallway, or staff smoking in service areas. They also had a problem with their key cards while I was there and it was not resolved for several hours so I could not come and go easily the first day. Lastly, the restaurant was under staffed (?) on the Thursday evening I tried to eat there. I waited for about 5 minutes before walking downstairs to the front desk to see if they were open. They called ahead and I was greeted, seated, given a menu but not offered anything to drink and promptly forgotten. She disappeared and 15 minutes later, no one in sight, I walked out. I expect with this feedback these are quick fixes and bad luck so it will be 5 stars next time.

This is an oasis in the middle of Wrocław. It’s a great city but nice to have a staff that really cares about its guests. The front desk and concierge teams are excellent. They are well informed and helpful.
The rooms are very good and the one problem I had was immediately rectified.
I highly recommend this hotel. It is close to the town center and near many good restaurants and shops. I look forward to staying here each time I visit.

Excellent location — steps away from the Market Square. So on that part, the property delivers.
I booked through
, which listed an attractive rate for a «western» brand: king-​bed room with a view. The king bed is actually two twins pushed together [NOT the same!!] and I felt like I slept in a hole — the mattress was so soft [or worn?], I was glad it was only for one night. The «view» was the covered atrium, so no fresh outside air when you open the window, and the echo of the marbled atrium is astonishingly loud when you are trying to fall asleep. Breakfast rates are astronomic by local standards: you step out and across the street is a convenience store, and two steps away are cafes and restaurants of the Market Square and its surroundings streets — so unless you are spoiled, or absolutely stranded for time, do explore other options. Had chronic problems with the key in the elevator: had to fix it 3 times in 24 hrs. No ice machines — have to call the front desk for it to be brought to you.
On the plus side: multi-​lingual staff; they accommodated my request for a high floor and away from the elevator; they also booked a taxi to pick me up at the airport; the shower water pressure was excellent, and the oversized towels can be warmed to your liking. Good selection of English channels, beyond the standard BBC Europe.

Hier werden wir bestimmt nochmal reinschauen. Wroclaw bietet auch viele verschiedene Sachen. Mein Highlight war der Marktplatz, fasst ein bisschen: Mini-​Krakau ;-)
Das Frühstück ist absolut Weltklasse, sehr frisch, sehr viel Auswahl und ganz tolle Qualität, der Standard ist wirklich sehr international und kann mit sehr guten Häusern mithalten.
Ein kleinen Abzug gibt es für das unerfahrene, bisschen tollpatschige personal, aber das kommt mit den Jahren hoffentlich!
Ich kann dieses Hotel nur empfehlen!

Das Hotel ist perfekt um die Ecke vom Großen Ring (Rynek) gelegen, die Zimmer sind komfortabel und ruhig und Frühstücksbüffet üppig. Das Ganze zu einem wirklich akzeptablen Preis: 100 EUR mit Frühstück für ein Superior-​Zimmer an einem Wochenende im Juli da kann man sich bei einem 5-​Sterne-​Haus wie diesem wohl nicht beschweren!
Einziger (kleiner) Kritikpunkt: das Hotel ist Teil eines Hotel-​/​Bürokomplexes und teilt sich mit diesem das Atrium. Das heißt: keine abgeschlossene, sonderlich attraktive Lobby und die Zimmer, die zum Innenhof gehen, haben weder eine natürliche Belüftungsmöglichkeit noch einen attraktiven Blick.
