IMPORTANT: waitstaff did not speak English, so make sure you’ve brushed up on your german and/​or polish before you go. And don’t be surprised by that, Gorlitz is not a foreign tourist spot… its where the Germans go to get away.
Stay in Gorlitz and walk across the walking bridge by the big church along the river.
They have free Wifi… so yes after dinner we walked to Poland for free internet and Zywiec :-)
Grab a table with a view of Germany, order pierogies, 2 Zywiec and enjoy your afternoon or early evening for next to nothing. The euro will go a long way, and if you’re extra thrifty walk up the street in poland to the little liquor store and buy some vodka to take back with you.
Glad we found this spot so I could make my american polish relatives jealous :-)
