Mc Donald’s

I like this Mc Donald’s for a few reasons not connected to hamburgers much less fries. First it sells great espressos at about 1 euro. There’s the whole range of coffees on offer. Better still and second they sell macaroons, one of my favourite meringue based confections. Third there are deals to be had with coffee and macaroons offered again around a euro. There’s a good selection of different flavours of macaroons too with raspberry and lemon being my two favourites. The coffee, ice cream sundae and pastry bar is at the front of the building and there’s a serving hatch to the street with the hamburgers and fries sold further back. Then there’s the outdoor seating with the port and ocean just across the road. Perfect way to relax on a sunny day. The free wifi could be faster and better than it is. Great wifi would make it a perfect spot. Oh a tip for foodies as you leave the café turn right and walk down to the seafront gift shop — about 5 minutes away where they sell tea grown on the island. It’s worth trying and supporting.
