Excellent — attentive friendly staff, fantastic surprise tasting menu to start, enthusiastic sommelier who educated us on Portuguese wines… one of the best unpretentious restaurants in Lisbon for sure.

This was an interesting find. Hyped on the web as one of the top restaurants in Lisbon, it was somewhat disappointing. The room has a nice ambiance but the pics definitely are a bit done up. Further, service was sub-par and pushy. I actually think the waiter was pissed off at us for not ordering wine. Further, they come with a bunch of starters to your table, whether you ordered them or not. 4 or 5 plates came, one after the other, fairly quickly. You are expected to pay a lump sum per person for these. Some were good, some weren’t. I would have prefereed to choose myself which ones I ordered. Finally, we had the wild bull and the octupus, neither of which was anything more than average. Without wine, we paid about EUR45 per person. Much too expensive for what you receive, considering this is a back-alley restaurant without anything stellar in terms of location or ambiance. You can do much better in town.
