Churrasco da Graça

My girlfriend rented a flat about a block from here a few days ago. Being new to Lisbon, we did the tourist thing and took Tram 28 down the hill to the Rua Augusta down in the Baixa neighborhood thinking this would be where we’d get some good food. We really really disappointed in Baixa. Seemed like all the cafes and outdoor restaurants there, though pleasant to look at, served some rather disappointing food. It wasn’t until one rainy night that we decided to forego the glitz of Baixa and stay in our own neighborhood of Graca (near the intersections Rua Damasceno Monteiro and Largo da Graco) and eat at the Churrasco da Graca. Very pleasant and grateful surprise. Best food, wine, and service we’ve had in Lisbon yet. We’ve eaten there twice for dinner now and had take out one evening. Excellent selection of grilled fish, beef, and chicken. Excellent wine selection. Our recommendation is to ask for their recommendation and follow it. The orange cake was delicious; soaked in some sort of orange liquor. And the prices are unbelievable. We shared a bottle of wine (northern Portugal vintage), two servings of mixed salad, and a main course of grilled Octopus (delicious in a garlic butter sauce) served with potatoes and assorted greens for only about 20 Euros. Could not believe it. This meal should easily have cost twice as much. A full grilled chicken with french fries for take-​out was only 8 euros. The staff was also very considerate of my girlfriend’s needs to have a gluten-​free meal, pointing out which menu selections did not have gluten and even those that could be modified (i.e., grilled). BTW, my girlfriend is the pickiest eater in the world (but also the sweetest) and absolutely loved this place.

Wie schon in 2014 waren wir auch im Februar 2015 (mehrmals) zu Besuch.
Das Essen hier gut bis sehr gut — etwas ‘feiner’ und filigraner als im benachbarten Satelite, wo uns allerdings die gesamte Atmosphäre besser gefällt, aber gut, das ist natürlich Geschmackssache.
Der Koch (Griller) versteht auf jeden Fall sein Handwerk, das kann man nun wirklich nicht anders sagen.
Der/​die Kellner sind kompetent und flink.
Kurzum: hier sollte man schon mal gewesen sein.

Para quem gosta de grelhados este é o local! Tem de tudo, desde o usual frango de churrasco que pode ser levado para casa mas aqui podemos também comer polvo, linguado, salmão, picanha!!! Como disse antes… há de tudo!!!
O serviço é bastante atencioso e as sobremesas são como as que fazemos em casa!!! nhamiii!!! Ah e os preços também são bastante acessiveis.

Uma excelente solução para quando não se tem nada feito e pouco tempo para o fazer, mas não só, pois pode-​se comer no local.
O frango assado é excelente, a minha experiência resume-​se a isso, mas apenas por ser tão fantástico que não tenho coragem de lá ir e não o pedir.
Um dia ganho coragem para experimentar outra coisa, tenho a certeza que não vou ficar desiludido.
Muito simpáticos no atendimento, os preços são em conta.

Um restaurante especializado em grelhados onde vou buscar frangos. Cada lisboeta tem o seu local preferido para se abastecer de frango assado, e actualmente até os supermercados fornecem esta iguaria. Por mim a escolha recai nesta churrascaria da Graça onde a simpatia dos donos e empregados é imagem de marca. A sabedoria de muitos anos garante a qualidade das carnes na grelha, sempre no ponto perfeito juntamente com o molho de que não me atrevo a pedir a receita. Para quem preferir almoçar ou jantar no local, sugiro o «piano» ou a picanha, garantidamente de qualidade.
