This is supposedly a five star hotel but the carpets in the rooms and halls were filthy and the Internet didn’t work very well. The breakfast buffet was typical. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I stayed at this 5-star hotel the whole time I was in Lisbon. This was a palace from the 17th century and is right across the street from one of Lisbon’s best restaurants, Sessenta. It’s within walking distance to metro stations(Sao Sebastiao, Parque, Picoas and Saldanha), El Corte Ingles, Central Park, art museum and a garden. They have 2 restaurants and 24⁄7 room service. The breakfast buffet starts at 7am and they have excellent selections of meats, cheeses, jams, breads, fruits, etc. They also have bowls of chocolate hazelnut spread. I arrived at midnight and had to ring the bell so I can be let in. The front desk agent working grave was very friendly, respectful and nice — everyone that works there was. All my questions were answered and all my requests were granted and always with a smile. My room was spacious and quiet. The bed was comfy. Free internet in the room, flat-screen TV and plenty of closet space. The bathroom was all marble and the toiletries smelled real nice. My view was of Sessenta — so, if I start seeing activity in the restaurant, it’s time to go across the street to eat. I ordered room service and I honestly wasn’t excpecting a gourmet meal. But the prego(steak sandwich) was sooo delicious! They put goat cheese on the bread and comes with fries and garlic aioli. I also got crema de Catalana for dessert… divine! Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and I felt safe the whole time. I didn’t mind being alone for the holidays. Obrigada!
