Came to book the last night of our stay in Porto. The patio was pretty packed when we arrived and though we only wanted drinks the food menu looked promising. We stuck with wine and ordered a bottle of vino verde without being offered a list we assumed it would be in the price range of all the other «green wines «we had unfortunately it was priced way higher and for this reason it can’t give this place more than 3 stars. Service wise I’m very well versed in the ways of European servers and staff so I didn’t have an issue with that. This place was close to our apt and didn’t close until 3 am.

Traveled all over Portugal recently and this one was my favorite restaurats. Food was exceptional. The Veal was just incredible.

Recommended in the guide books, Book is overdue for a review in Unilocal.Delicious chestnut soup and excellent veal loin and three fun (duck, chicken, beef) burgers made this a wonderful first meal in Porto. Book has a nice theme, complete with books hanging over the ceiling bar, a book themed menu, and of course, book shelves. The pleasant staff were delighted to accommodate requests. Made for a lovely first night in Porto.
