I was really surprised that good sushi exists in Portugal, but I guess I shouldn’t have been given that so much of Portuguese cuisine involves fresh seafood. My husband and I were in the mood for sushi and came to Two Sushi one evening. The restaurant was pretty busy already with locals which we took as a good sign. The staff barely spoke English but luckily I had my Portuguese/English translating app with me and there was one female employee who was able to explain some of the menu in English. I ended up going for the 28 piece freestyle sushi plate, which, as a Vancouver native I have never seen on a North American menu but thought it was a neat idea. Sort of like omakase I suppose where the chef picks out what they will serve for you, only it’s all on one plate. It was a nice sampling of sushi rolls with some sashimi. I was suffering from a cold for the last couple of days so I was congested and could barely taste the difference between a lot of the rolls, but it was delicious nonetheless. My husband ordered a chicken teriyaki noodle bowl and enjoyed it. Prices are higher than average but overall I enjoyed the meal and it satiated my sushi craving. Their larger freestyle plates we caught glimpses of at neighboring tables looked absolutely delicious. Would recommend for anyone in the mood for sushi or simply looking for a change from traditional Portuguese fare.

This is a fairly swanky sushi place in Porto. After being away from Vancouver where sushi is readily available on every street corner we had a craving. We came to check out the sushi here and we were not disappointed. They don’t have an English menu but the staff was kind enough to help us out. After fumbling through trying to decide what to order, we ended up with a chicken yakisoba noodle dish and a freestyle sushi platter. The freestyle platters are unique and innovative. Basically you eat the sushi that the chefs are create for you. You eat what they give you which can be a scary thought but we thought it was excellent. I would even go as far as to say that the food is comparable to the sushi mecca of vancouver. That and the presentation was 5 stars. It’s safe to say that we were pleasantly surprised. We got to the restaurant around 8pm and it was about half full at best. By the time we were gone it was packed and everyone was local, which is good to know!

It’s good place to lunch sushi, their prices are cheap and the fish is amazing good. They are quite slow, but as far as I know, everywhere in Porto is like this.

É daqueles restaurantes onde, com toda a certeza, iremos voltar!
