This place may not strike you as a knock your socks off eatery when you walk in, but let the food speak for itself. My husband and I loved this place so much, we made a special trip to grab the deliciousness known as the Habanero before hopping on our flight. The breakfast sandwiches are great, as are the sweets. It can get pretty busy, but the wait is worth it.

Almost walked by this restaurant, located near the Ritz Carlton, but stopped for empanadas for lunch. They were made fresh while we waited and were full of meat and beliicous. A great lunch for $ 3 an empanada.

Decent breakfast and pastries. Orange juice was over price $ 4.25 for 8oz cup. If your looking for a 24⁄7 place this is it. Quick snacks but not for dinner. They also have their own parking.

Nice place to have a quick breakfast. I stayed at Ritz Carlton and this restaurant was right next to it. We went to have breakfast one day and tried bacon egg and cheese sandwich and waffles! It didn’t take them more than 8 minutes and food was ready.

I came to this bakery everyday for breakfast since its a short walk from the Ritz, I loved the workers they were so nice and this place does get crowded but its worth it. There coffee is everything! Nothing i look more forward too when I come to the motherland then the café con leche! THEBOMB! I love there breakfast sandwiches and the home made fresh OJ is perfecto! They offer oatmeal, waffles, french toast and some Spanish pastries which everyone must try. The food gets prepared pretty quickly and theres lots of space to sit indoor and outdoor. There open 24 hours which is awesome and also serve lunch! Its kind of pricey but its right on the main strip so I understand that with tourist always around but I just love this place and it was the perfect breakfast spot and I will be back very soon!

Review was written back in December. The other Unilocal reviews were encouraging, but breakfast was less than we expected. Big breakfast was filling, but only the French toast was notable. Pastries were good. Coffee was disappointing, especially considering the fact that they use the increasingly ubiquitous automatic espresso machine — should be much better. $ 28 for two of us to share the big breakfast, plus 2 pastries and 2 coffees. Most places are similarly expensive.

I met Shaina there — she gave me some wonderful travel tips and had a really good empanada with her! Great & friendly place — hard to get to from the main road — due to a lot of one-way streets! She said the breakfasts are awesome — I going to try to come back!

Right next to the Ritz Carlton. They serve breakfast, sandwiches, and a ton of pastries. I came in the afternoon, so their selection wasn’t as large. Had the beef empanada($ 3.18), which was very salty but not flavorful. Tried the Bestios de Coco AKA coconut kisses($ 3.01). They’re Puerto Rican coconut macaroons. They were soft, moist, and sweet but not too sweet. Conveniently located for a quick snack.

The mallorca sweet rolls here are absolutely life-changing, but beware, they will ruin you for trying them anywhere else. Get there in the morning, and get a toasted mallorca with butter. Never look back.

Go here. The coffee and freshly orange juices alone are worth the trip. You’ll see locals and the occasional visitors mixing here. :)

This place had potential to get a 5 star rating. The cashier wouldn’t substitute the breakfast meats. Basically forced us to add on the breakfast meat of our choice. I added bacon and when it came out look like it was microwaved and was thin as paper. I was really disappointed because the pictures showed REAL pieces of bacon. Everything was kind of expensive. Juice was about 2.50−3.25 a person. I would recommend to canvas the area there are other well priced businesses in the area with equal food quality. The food was pretty decent just didn’t like the service, inflexibility of the cashier and price was a little too high for the area.

Delicious place to stop for any meal. We had breakfast at lunch and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed the canarias waffles and I had a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. We also ordered the cram cheese pastry and a palmeras, both of which were spot on. Given its proximity to the Ritz, we will be back every time we stay as the prices are reasonable and food is great.

Date: 08/21/2015 There is no aroma of fresh baked goods here. This place is basically a diner. $ 17.95 Skirt $ 12.95 A-La-Carte $ 02.85 Empanadi Carne $ 01.89 Soda Fuente $ 00.36 Tax Municipal 1% $ 03.74 Tax State 10.5% $ 39.74 Total The skirt steak here is surprisingly better than skirt steak at the nearby restaurant! Because my husband enjoyed the tender skirt so much, we came back multiple times to eat here while staying at the Ritz-Carlton.

Busy local bakery. We wanted to get something quick and not too pricey for dinner and this was the perfect place. Lots of options for dinner and dessert too! We got empanadas, Cubano sandwich and papas Fritas. Loved it all! Great price and all is fresh!

This was a convenient stop as it was right next to the hotel we were staying in while vacationing in Puerto Rico, but I would classify it as fast Puerto Rican food at very expensive prices. I wanted to try this place for breakfast, as those were the reviews that appeared to be the best, but we never took the opportunity. The pastries also looked fairly decent. The ham croquettes were great, and served as a fantastic, quick, «tide me over until I can eat something substantial,» and we stopped in for exactly that several times during our stay, as well as for the coffee, which was also very good… but the large cup was what many other establishments I have frequented would classify as a small cup. We finally ate here for lunch and no one in our party was impressed. We got an order of the octopus, an order of chicken chunks, and the skirt steak. None of it was impressive. The octopus was the least enjoyable I have ever tasted, and the chicken chunks — in case you do not understand the concept — are truly chunks of chicken, sliced and diced as randomly as possible, bones and all, and then fried to a crispy, flavorless perfection… nothing tasty about that. The rice and beans were good… darn, I wish I had tried those pancakes!

I’m sure if you’re reading this, you’re a local… or you’re staying at the Ritz Carlton. I did and I ended up here every morning. The café con leche here is strong(add your own sugar!) The food… is better than it is at the Ritz with the usual breakfast items(the bacon looks a little questionable), pan, empanadas, and other baked goods. Apparently, this place is open all day and all night and, therefore, serves actual meals. I never actually never made it in those hours. Great place for a quick bite.

It’s extremely close to my hotel, so in the week I’ve been here I’ve gone to this place 3 times. Meal 1: a Cuban sandwich with the addition of chorizo, amazing! Meal 2: breakfast– eggs, bacon, French toast, home fries, Puerto Rican coffee… The eggs were the ‘make as many eggs as possible’ kind but the rest was magnificent! I love the coffee here. Meal 3: after staring at their dessert for days I pulled the trigger and got a guava and cheese turnover. Never had guava before it was delicious!

Solid breakfast choice. I had the special which was a ton of food for $ 8.95. Included two eggs your way, potatoes, sausage, bacon, and choice of pancakes or French toast. I had the French toast and it was yummy. My mom only had the pancakes and she said they were good standard fluffy pancakes. Oh and the coffee was good and hot. The stuff in the bakery case looks good but haven’t tried yet. Will update if I do.

We went here every morning for breakfast! Located next to Ritz Carlton. Just outside of the hotel and turn right. Great coffee, breakfast — eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes, fresh squeezed orange juice, Puerto Rican pastries. They also have sandwich and dinner items. Open 24 hours. Inside looks like a cafeteria but we always got to go to eat on the beach. Staff is friendly.
