Ughhhhh. Sweet Ann’s is not here anymore. Don’t know what happened but the new place Mana Deli doesn’t seem the same. I saw quesitos but no other baked goods. I gave it 2 stars just for the heck of it. Looks like they still serve food but it seems like they cater more to the locals now. Didn’t feel the same as before and no one was in a hurry to speak English or help me out so I left. Weird as Dorado seems to be building up with the new Ritz there. You would think that they would want to be more helpful towards non Spanish speaking vacationers.

This is Mana Deli now; order at the counter. The person who took our order spoke English. Our order included hash browns and Oj without ice which cost $ 1 more than OJ with ice. When our order showed up the OJ had ice and the hash browns were missing. We had to stand in line again to find out they had no hash browns and get a refund. Vegetarian omelettes were no better than what you can get at Denny’s. The Pan Agua wheat toast was very good. Tea was Bigelow bags. Coffee was OK. Chocolate cupcake same as you can get at a supermarket chain. Service was friendly enough. They have a caprese sandwich as a vegetarian lunch option. Beer selection looked good. Plastic forks and styrofoam cups. I wouldn’t rule it out but wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Nice place with fancy baked goods. Quite a large selection of cakes and pastries and the biggest problem is limiting yourself.

We stopped here on the first morning of our trip to Dorado. This shop is no longer called west Ann Cakes, it is now name the Mana Deli. My wife had the pancakes, which were good, but the shop didn’t have any syrup. I had the club sandwich with sweet bread. The bread was very fresh and the sandwich was over very good. We each had orange juice(which was $ 4 per small glass)

Everything I tried here was great. The Pia Pollo was so wonderful. Everything is made fresh. I took a small desert back to the resort each evening. Some evenings there was live entertainment. It was our local reliable standby.

My steak sandwich had, like, a whole steak in it. tasted great too. My guava puff pastry was topped with tons of powdered sugar. Yum. Restaurant changed it’s name but seems to be the same on as b4. Slow service for a new Yorker

Relative to the Corporate America fast food options in Dorado, this place is good but unfortunately, I cannot give it a stellar review based on that alone. I ordered a cake here for my boyfriend’s birthday. The cake was a simple vanilla layered cake but the frosting was… hmmm. funky, not tasty, bland, not sweet, just weird. The questitos were pretty tasty but again, nothing to write home about. Maybe on my next trip down I’ll try someting for breakfast or lunch but based on the kitchen and the food at the tables i’m not even sure if I want to do that…

Friendly waitresses who speak English. Food is local Puerto Rican fare and baked treats which were inexpensive and flavorful. We ordered the specials which came with drinks and dessert at $ 9 a person. The restaurant/bakery is next door to a Starbucks as well.

Awesome place for breakfast. They have a buffet ~$ 6 and it’s a plate full with dessert. Their rice is good with the pork. I got the strawberry waffles. The strawberry sauce is gross, too artificial. You should just order that on the side. the waffles and real strawberries are good by it self with the cream. Chocolate chip waffles are also good. They make fresh waffle cone if you get the ice cream. Coconut ice cream had coconute flakes, pretty different from regular ice cream, still good.

This is your best bet for breakfast and/or lunch. Not to many places like this in the area. The service is slooooowwwwwww, but typical of Island service if you ask me. The craziest thing happened to me while eating here. The waiter changed my order because he thought it was too expensive! LOL! WT??? After waiting for 45 minutes for my food I had no choice but to eat because I was famished. The food is fresh and tasty. The pastries where fantastic!

I love Sweet Ann Cakes. We came here frequently, for Breakfast and dessert. Their desserts are to die for, and I absolutely love their café con leche, it’s the best. My husband and I didn’t get a chance to try their dinner menu… but it will definitely be on our to do list the next time we are in Dorado.

Yum, Yum, Yum. We had Sweet Ann pastries for breakfast every day we were in Puerto Rico. My favorite was probably the quesito(a long pastry roll filled with cream cheese), but the Napoleon was delicious as well as the cinnamon roll with guava. So many options! We also stopped in for lunch one day and had sandwiches. For around $ 7, you got a BUNCH of meat on panini bread — good deal. So glad we happened upon this place, which is located on the western outskirts of Dorado close to the Embassy Suites and on the way out to the Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar. It is in the same shopping area as the Applebee’s and Starbucks.

This place was right down the street from our hotel(lucky us)!! Everything here is sooo good and there is so much variety! On several occasions we tried a few pastries… great prices, yummy sweets! On some nights they even had live music!

Pastries are awesome when mixed with meat! As Patrick said, we found this place a little late in our trip, luckily for me! I think I may have gained too many pounds if we had found it earlier. I really liked their cakes and sweets. If I lived in Puerto Rico or was just visiting I would make this a high priority visit!

My only complaint about Sweet Ann’s was that we found it on our last day in Puerto Rico! Everything we tried here was delicious. We had savory puff pastries stuffed with turkey or ham or chorizo or chicken … we had sweet pastries with chocolate or fruit or chocolate and fruit or custard or whatever! We filled 2 boxes worth of pastries — probably 15ish items and rang up a total bill of $ 22. This would have easily cost $ 80 in NYC. Very, very delicious pastries. Very, very skimpy prices. An absolute«must-visit» if you’re in Dorado.
