Good service and great food. On the day of my visit I tried the plátano maduro, arroz chino, yuca and carne frita. I have to go back to try that mofongo de yuca. It looked so good.

Absolutely delicious! There is only one place on the planet that even measures up to this chicken(Zankou in L.A.) but Martin’s bbq is very unique in its flavor, texture, and overall quality of side dishes. Every trip to the island includes a late night visit to Martins. Aside from the chicken, I love the arroz con gandules, the mofongo, and viandas. Now I understand why my wife covered her rotisserie chicken in sauce every time she ordered it at an American chicken chain… because she grew up with Martin’s flavorful birds. Terrific food in a no-frills atmosphere. I can’t wait to return.

Whenever we visit Puerto Rico from NY. This is the place we eat the most at. We were once in mayaguez and my daughter waited the long 3 ½ trip to close to San Juan to eat at martins. Food is great and fresh. Can’t wait trip is coming up in April 2015

The pollo asado really is as great as they say. The arroz guisado and arañitas were also super tasty, though the were out of tostones, which is a bummer. Good prices and good food. I’d highly recommend it.

The rotisserie chicken is amazing. Really flavorful and falls right off the bone. The sides are mediocre at best. I’ll come back just for that chicken.

Hands down the best damn chicken I have eaten anywhere on Earth in my entire life! Every time I visit Puerto Rico I make a point of eating Martin’s Chicken. Sadly Martin has ruined every other rotisserie style chicken for me as they simply don’t measure up. I don’t know what these guys marinade the chicken in exactly but there is a strong onion and garlic flavor as well as salt and pepper and a variety of herbs and spices that I can’t identify but I definitely enjoy. The chicken is moist and the tender meat pulls off the bones with greatest of ease. The skin is full of savory spices and is crunchy. I can hear angels sing whenever I take my first bite of Martin’s chicken. As if the chicken ain’t enough they have delectable side items as well. My favorite is the boiled yucca served with garlic sauce. The other sides that are also excellent include: fried yucca, fried plantains, boiled plantains, fired potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, etc. All of it is absolutely delicious. On top of all this it is very reasonably priced. Martin, please open a restaurant where I live in Austin, Texas! I promise I will eat there no less than once a week if you do.
