We had a papaya, a coconut, and a mango smoothie here, and they were all amazing !! Yep we blinked and missed the stand but managed to turn our rental around to get back to it. Super friendly people here… Want to eat your fruit their? They will cut it up for you! You got to stop if you are in the area, because if you don’t you’ll miss out.

Delicious fruit stand! Lots of different batidos to choose from and fruits for sale too. I bought 2 mango batidos and two mangoes and it cost $ 13. The mangoes are enormous — they graciously cut one up for us to eat on the spot and it filled up a big styrofoam container! Thanks to the other reviewers for the gps coordinates and directions about looking for Puma gas too.

Visited the fruit stand today, The GPS coordinates were spot on. They are very nice fruit but a lot of unripe fruit and their smoothies had some sort of like vanilla ice cream that went into my kid and my husband like them but I’m a smoothie purest! We spent about 20 bucks on a bunch of bananas, One papaya, one pineapple & two mangoes. They had huge packs of oranges for sale as well green avocados lots of selection. Root vegetables and some cooked food

We went to the kiosks at Luqillo multiple times after coming back from visiting the island and was looking for something different in the area! Thank goodness we did!!! If you’re looking for a DELICIOUS home cooked meal by a local Puerto Rican grandmom/mom this is THEPLACE! The food here is delicious! Top things to order here include the chicken($ 8 for a whole chicken!!! Heck of a deal!), beef, pork, and SMOOTHIE! Their smoothie is made completely out of real fruit that they sell on their stand. Like others said, this is really hard to find if you aren’t looking but SOWORTHIT! The people working here couldn’t speak much English, but were VERY friendly and was delighted at how much we enjoyed the food. The fruit here isn’t that much cheaper than grocery stores, but tastes much better and worth the $. I bought 2 mangos for $ 5. Ask someone there to help you pick out some ripe ones and they’ll be happy to help.

Blink and you’ll miss this place, but it’s worth a stop. Awesome fresh fruit smoothies, and coconuts with a straw if you’re interested.

The GPS coordinates are: 18.376519,-65.75489 It is west of the kiosks on the south side of the road. It’s next to a mechanic. I had a hard time finding it, so want to make it very clear. We left with $ 23 worth of fruit, which seemed pricey. The banana and pineapple were worth the price, however!

Friendly, delicious batidos but don’t sleep on the home-cooked comida criolla, especially the arroz con gandules and the bacalao,

We originally made the mistake of purchasing some fruit from the grocery store. Don’t do that. Stop at La Frutera and get some of the best tasting fruit that you just can’t get back home. We got some vine-ripened bananas, some incredible mangoes, and a papaya. The mangoes were good enough to eat as a dessert one night. The people in here were friendly and speak enough English to help you out, though it helps to know a few words. If you’re driving past, stop in. Even if you don’t purchase anything, it’s a nice place just to see(though I would definitely recommend buying something).

Had an awesome Papaya here, and a Coco Frio that was OK, but tasted like the coconut was a little green. I’m also going to ding them for not having Canepa, a really cool local fruit that seems to be only available from random guys stopped on the side of the road.

Delicious, in-season, local fruits. Friendly people behind the counters. They also serve breakfasts, lunches, and smoothies of various types. Picnic tables abound, and they were all full. All the other patrons were local, so that’s always a good sign. The supermarkets in Luquillo don’t have a great selection of fruit, and most of it’s imported, anyway. The stuff here is fresh and ready to eat. If you want some fruit for your hotel or if you want a «batida»(smoothie), this is where you need to go. It’s sort of hidden behind a souvenir/hammock stand, so you could miss it. Look for the Puerto Rican flag hammocks, the towels with beaches and naked women on them, and park there. You’ll find the fruit stand. There are kitschy/tacky souvenirs in the back, but apparently no one ever goes back there, because every single row was blocked with spiderwebs. No lie. I’m not exaggerating. With a spider on every single one. I’m a bit of an arachnophobe, so I can’t really describe these wares. Either way, they don’t seem to be big hits. A caveat for germophobes: this is an out-of-the-way fruit stand, okay? They’re not going to wash their hands constantly. A quick rinse at the faucet is good enough for them. If you are bothered by people who handle money and then handle food, or lick their fingers to get a napkin for you, then keep that in mind.
