Muy buena opcion excelentes precios medias porciones en la mayoria de los platos lo que te permite probar varios platos… los sliders de pork belly muy buenos… medias botellas de vino a un precio justo.

What happened? I raved about this place to co-workers and friends. I have been to this restaurant three times. The first time was wonderful. The second was ok. The third was supposed to be a charm. It was dissapointing to say the least. Everything from the famous parmesan risotto to the octopus was re-heated. The dishes were over seasoned. They lacked heart, which makes me think someone other than Chef Pedro was recreating a recipe book. The service was mediocre. It took a long time to get my check. Mind you the restaurant had 6 tables– at most. Sorry En Boga. Unless you step up your game, I’m not planning to come back. Also, based on the wine mark up one would expect related service.

Such a great find in San Juan. I have a special love for gastropubs and when I visited I was blown away. The food. I mean wow, delicious! Came with my family for dinner on Three Kings Day and loved the service and the food. As soon as we walked in we were greeted like family. The restaurant was not packed, which was surprising since it was a holiday. The restaurant walls are covered in chalk art and the menu is also up on the wall. You can always ask for a paper menu if you’re blind like me. We were started off with truffle oil popcorn. A combination I had never tried before and really liked! The house sangria was also pretty amazing. We ordered two different appetizers. Both were outstanding. For dinner I had the salmon with sausage risotto. There are no words… the dish was amazing. I ate every single last thing on my plate. Portions are available as a whole or half and that’s great because you don’t feel like you’re wasting food when you order the ½ portion(what I did). I was completely full but not overstuffed to the point where I couldn’t fit the dessert. I ended my feast with a mallorca bread pudding that was to die for. Thinking about this meal has me wanting to back for more. Highly recommend this spot for all the foodies out there. Won’t disappoint.

Loved the food. Tasty, creative menu. Everything that we ordered was excellent. The idea of half portions for the main courses is very convenient as it allowed ordering appetizers as well. Sometimes the appetizer plus the main dish is too much food, so we skip the appetizer. No need to do that here!

En Boga is fantastic and I can’t wait to go back. We felt very welcome our first time there and loved every bite. The sangria was very refreshing after a day of touring Old San Juan. You won’t be disappointed! But make reservations on the weekend — everyone knows how great they are. I had the Croquetas de chillo empanadas en Platanom and taquitos de cochinita de Pibil. I will order them again — interesting taste combos bursting with flavor.

If you want great appetizers look no further! Pedro has to be one of the best chefs in puerto rico. The staff is super profesional and some of the nicest people around. The main dishes are great and very creative. I highly recommend Boga. They are also wine friendly. I love this place and their prices are very reasonable.

Food is amazing, décor is fun. Quite the casual atmosphere, but don’t let that fool you. The chef is a renowned name in the business. Get ready to pay a pretty penny, but every cent will be worth it, and it also won’t be so bad as to break your piggy bank. Ladies, bring your jackets ;) Don’t miss the rabbit empanadas, the jueyes alcapurrias(if they’re on the daily special menu), the lamb chops, the yuca gnocchi and the Mongolian style skirt steak rivals any other you’ve ever had.

We went on a Saturday night, the entrance door was locked so we had to wait for someone to touch the buzzer to let us in, this is not what you expect when going to a restaurant and more so on a rainy night. We ordered 2 appetizers the«Croquetas de Chistorra» and«The Strudels» they were well executed and were brought in a reasonable amount of time. Then we ordered our food, Skirt Steak and the night special«Tuna Plate», although the special was good, it took almost an hour for our dinner to be delivered, and when it finally arrived, our Skirt Steak was cold. No excuse for this, also they brought it with an incorrect side dish, a(cold) «Risotto». For dessert we had the«Barriguitas de Vieja», they were very tasty and also the best plate of the night. I believe they can perform better if they put some effort in customer service; I’m under the impression that the food was ready for a while but for some reason our server didn’t bring it to us on time. I was especially impressed with the hostess that instead of buzzing the entrance door for the customers she let them wait under the rain, and instead of making sure everybody received their plates on time, was playing on her cellphone and smiling at it almost all the time we were there, «KUDOS». At $ 40+ per person service is not on par with the price. Because of my experience I cannot recommend this place nor will I ever be back.

What an outstanding an experience. From the moment we walked in to to the end of our meal and everything in between. The food is excellent, we were a group of 5 and ordered most things on the menu including the nachos tartar, croquetas, and empanadillas de conejo to start. For entrées we had the penny pasta, with jamon serrano, filete de res and the filete Dorado. Everything was extraordinary. The service was on point and the desserts out of this world. Definitely a must try if your in PR. Will definitely come back on my next trip here really a phenomenal experience.

This was recommended by a friend who is a local. I am so happy we got to eat here! The food was delicious and the servers were very friendly! We started with the Piggy Taco appetizers, excellent, split a «house» salad which had sliced apples, cranberries, and honeyed walnuts with an amazing house Balsamic dressing-outstanding! We then went onto splitting 2 dishes, the Mahi Mahi with a split pea Risotto, and the Skirt Steak and a sausage and mushroom risotto. They make a fab risotto! We ended with their signature bread pudding with gelato and the fresh made espresso to order! I highly recommend this place-this is a must try!

The food here is quite amazing! From the appetizers, to the main dish, I was so impressed with the food! The Empanadillas de Conejo, which are rabbit turnovers are amazing! You must have this dish if you go. I also had a tuna tartare dish which was incredible! This place would be perfect if they had a special house drink list. I will definitely be back to try something else on the menu soon. The small intimate environment and really cool décor make this a perfect date place to have a great dinner and just talk the night away! Absolutely recommended.

My first time here and was pleasantly surprise with their menu. It was refreshingly different with interesting combination. Scallop’s ceviche was fresh and slightly fishy. The empanadillas de conejo(Rabbit Turnovers) were very tasty. The salmon was perfectly cooked but should stay away from farm raised fish. Now the best: unboned pig feet, chicken gizzards and shrimp casserole. Very brave combination. Yet, beautifully orchestrated. Will go back to try different menu item before making final judgment.

The food is good with interesting combinations of ingredients and flavors. Service was average with an attitude that substrates from the enjoyment of the meal. The locale is informal not elegant but is nice. It is a good restaurant to go with friends not on a romantic date.

The food is superb! The service was impeccable, and we were able to taste a lot of things on the menu because we ordered half portions of the main courses and half dessert portions as well. The appetizers blew our taste buds(croquetas de bistec y queso, and the croquetas de maduros/amarillos y jamón serrano). The sorullitos are incredibly delicious as well. Our favorite dessert were the«Barriguitas de vieja» which are filled with creamy dulce de leche sauce to die for. Even the coffee was delish! Will definitely go again. We had an amazing time(my husband and I), were there for two hours and spent almost $ 100 bucks on two soups, two appetizers, two half entrée portions and two half dessert portions. Ordered coffee, no alcoholic beverages. Enjoy!

Great restaurant. All plates have original combinations of taste and are well thought out. They serve half plates so my recommendation is to order appetizers and half plates so that you can taste a bit of everything.
