Nice little place. We stopped in for brunch. I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had an omelet. The coffees were made fresh — bold and strong, just like I like em! I also found the staff to be very welcoming and kind. I would definitely eat here again.

This is only a breakfast review. I was wandering around before my flight and stumbled into Levi’s. I didn’t have anything fancy to eat, but the toast, like ALL«toasts,» was awesome. I don’t know what they do to the bread in Puerto Rico, but everywhere I had toast, it was glorious! However, the overeasy eggs weren’t even remotely runny, and the coffee was okay. The service was awesome, so overall I was pleased.

Blah… should’ve went to McDs. This is fast food to me, which never is a good thing when it comes to Puerto Rican food. It needs love, attention, and flavor! My Mofongo looked good, but It tasted like a dried out hockey puck. It needed way more salt(and I’m not a sodium freak) and moisture. My husband makes a bad ass Mofongo so I always compare any to his. Same with the carne frita, which should be flavorful morsels of fried pork were a disappointment. Flavor was so-so, but it was so dryyyyyyy. Pickled onions on top actually helped to pull it all together and make it edible. My husband’s food was a complete FAIL. He ordered the Mofongo stuffed with King Crab. For the price, we thought the Mofongo would be stuffed/topped with a scoop of fresh king crab salad. Well, turns out everyone in town considers imitation crab sticks to be King Crab. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time! No words… Beer was cold, ac blasting, and service was decent. Prices are high compared to the fast food quality and taste. When you can make it better at home for cheaper, it’s a no brainer.

Sometimes a restaurant’s dumpy exterior provides valuable information about what’s to be found inside, and helps appropriately set expectations. Such is the case for Levi’s. I found myself there near midnight on a weekend with a small group of friends who landed at this roadside greasy spoon after discovering everything else in the area was closed for the day. The interior was as ramshackle as the street-facing façade, but clean; we were seated and asked for our order quickly. Our food was served just as quickly, and was actually pretty good. Standouts included a well seasoned roasted half chicken and chicken mofongo. Judging from the menu, Levi’s deep fryer must get a lot of action, but what was I expecting going to a 24-hour roadside diner? After all, it was the best joint in town at 11pm.

Levis is good local puertorican food. The Levis rice is very unique and good. It has little speckles of carrot and spinach but don’t be dissuaded by that. It is very good. This goes well with red beans. The steak mofongo was ok. I tore it up. It is very filling. The steak itself is good. Use the green sauce that comes with it. This place is open 24 hrs and it’s not the fanciest but does the job when you are hungry.

We drove up to a very friendly valet who had suggestions on what to eat. We had churrasco mofongo, carne Frita and chicken cordon bleu. Everything was pretty good. Nothing was out of this world good and nothing was terrible. The service was slowish but super friendly! They have parking. The bathroom was not the cleanest I’ve seen but also far from the dirtiest! We would come back!

Good local dinning with a great paella… specifically mixed paella includes red meat. Moderate pricing makes this casual local spot a good place to check out.

Levi’s was a typical Puerto Rican restaurant that I’ve encountered throughout my lifetime and was a decent meal. The restaurant came highly recommended by a local bartender who some of my non-Rican friends met, so the three stars is a result of not meeting expectations. The entraña was a little over cooked and the rice was decent but was heavy on achiote and light on sofrito. I’m of the school of thought that Puerto Rican restaurants often underwhelm with sofrito. My mother and grandmother were generous users of it and I’m a big fan.

A joint… cheap is cheap… Its been open for years but I really can’t figure out why. The food is mediocre at best. skip it and try something else… even Chili’s is better

The food wasn’t horrible, but we waited for over an hour to get it. Waiting with our kid, we had finally asked the waitress if we could just pay for our drinks and leave. Our food magically appeared. Some of it was cold, of course. My chuletas can can(deep fried pork chops) were getting tough – anything that is deep fried has to be fresh to be good. I ordered arroz con habichuelas(rice and beans) as my side, got plain white rice instead. I wasn’t going to complain at that point, but the waitress noticed and brought me some beans – which I’m pretty certain were Ranch Beans out of a can – on the side. Churrascos were OK, flavor was quite good, but again seemed like they’d been under a heat lamp for 20 minutes. That’s another dish that has to be hot and fresh to be right. A shame because I liked the atmosphere and I think the food might have been quite good on some other day. Probably should be a one star review, but something tells me the place has some promise buried under what happened tonight. Only the second time in my adult life that I’ve stiffed the waitstaff. Not only did it take over an hour to get our food, but no one even spoke to us that entire time until we asked to pay for drinks and leave.

Very casual place that was recommended by a few friends. Well know to locals and close to most lodging and the airport area. Dishes were large and enough to share if you wanted to. Priced right this was a nice experience. Staff is friendly and they serve till late hours of the morning. Food was really good and authentic for PR

We wound up coming here twice because it was close to our lodging and also just really solid. I can’t remember what we got other than the mofongo, but the food was good and the servers attentive. Yes, some of the places in San Juan definitely had more«ambiance» but they were a lot more expensive and the food wasn’t as good. Sadly, we still like the PR place in the LES in NYC more but that’s another review…

The reviewer who said that Levi’s seems to be an after-hours spot is probably correct. I was not in the state of mind to know what time it was when I got here, but foursquare tells me I checked in at 4:44am. They’re apparently known as «The King of Churrasco», but they had run out when we tried to order it… Our table shared an assortment of appetizers instead. The Sorullitos de Maiz(Corn Fritters) and Palitos de Queso(Mozzarella Sticks) were hot, crunchy, and perfect for our late-night munchies. The Sopa de Arveja(Pea Soup) and Sopa de Platano(Plaintain Soup) were warm, comforting, and came with a side of toasted garlic bread which was great for dipping and soaking up the soup as well as the other liquids that were already in my stomach. Prices were cheap; service was friendly and patient in dealing with the patrons at this time of night… I just wish the King of Churrasco hadn’t run out of churrasco.

This place recommended by our cab driver, was walking distance from our Inn, which was important. Had two outdoor tables on the street side and large indoor seating. We sat outside. Full bar, another plus. Both my husband and I had the Mofongos. He had the Creole chicken($ 10.00) He said he liked it except it had some«undesirable parts if the chicken». Meaning the chunky yellow fat parts and he said had some veins and arteries too. He ate most of it, but did a lot of picking through it. I had the Mofongo with Churrascaria steak($ 15.00) Very tender, came with a side of Chimichurri sauce. Our waitress said they are known for their Churrascaria steaks. Very good! Now for the downside, I know a lot of these region style dishes are on the salty side, but there was a lot! I could barely finish because of the salt! The man that brought our food gave us a salt shaker and said«you never know, just in case». We did not need it! It seemed the dish got saltier and saltier the more you ate. Needless to say, I got up a few times for water that night. On another note, they had the best Sangria we had in a long time! Delicious and potent! Halve pitcher was $ 15.00.

OK, first of all this place is on Loiza in between Isla Verde and Ocean Park. It’s next to a bunch of other bars and restaurants and has valet parking. I kept seeing reviews for another place with the same name, but I don’t think it is the same place. Why did I give Levi’s 3 stars? I don’t know… I’ve been there only once, but all in all it was a good place. The best park of Levi’s is its prices. The dishes are very well priced compared to a lot of other restaurants in the same category. I had the carne frita, which was really good and my friend the churrasco, which he enjoyed. I believe this is either a late night place or open 24 hours, I forget. Either way it is a fun place to go eat for a good price. I guess the reason I gave it 3 stars is because even though the food was good I felt as if it was like a Chili’s or Fridays, but the Puerto Rican version of it. I would definitely recommend people to try it. I’m sure you’ll like it!
