I love Apple Stores. Period. I’ve been in Apple Stores all over the world, and they’re all the epitome of great service and friendly sales people. But then there’s this one, which is more like the anti-Apple store. Why? Well, first of all their salespeople aren’t very friendly, and secondly some of their unfriendly salespeople also seem to be blatant racists. Allow me to elaborate: 1: Unfriendly salespeople: I found an 300kr accessory I’m interested in, and put it down at the table while I check out some headphones. A chubby brunette approaches the table, looks like she wants to be everywhere else but here, and grabs the accessory to put it back on the shelf. «Excuse me, that’s mine» I say. I get a glare back: «Do you have a receipt?» Wut?!? I kid you not. Apparently you’re not allowed to browse in this Apple Store. The minute you take something down from the shelf, you’re supposed to flag down an associate and buy it. Never in over a dozen Apple stores have I been asked for a receipt, or encountered staff this unfriendly. Which leads me to 2: Racist salespeople. A friend of mine who is of a darker hue had been stopped on the way out of the store by a big, full bearded manager, who confronted him with how come he comes there so often. How often had he been there? Twice in a week. Clearly he’s up to no good then! I didn’t right away believe this, but this week, while I spent a little over an hour there, I saw the same big, bearded manager he described stop two customers of a darker hue, and demand to see a receipt for their merchandise. I kid you not. Never have I seen anything like it in ANY Apple Store. Avoid this one, and go to the one in Helsingborg instead.
