Great break with a friend from Vaxyo, having a Cappucino and a cheese cake under the sunny(and incredibly) hot Malmo! Moreover Lilla Square is the nicest in town I think, with its historical buildings and no cars around. Enjoy :)

This is a one of a kind coffeeshop. Three floors with seating through out and it feels like you are in someone’s living room. The pastries looked amazing, but I only tried an Indonesian French press which was delicious.

One of the finest coffee shops in town. When you like that little extra, this is the place. The service team actually know something about coffee.

My friend lived in Malmo took me there for a «snobbish» coffee as quoted by coffee lovers, they have daily 4 types coffee beans selections also with free refill if you wish. Brilliant courtyard, perfect for a sunny afternoon to hang out behind busy shopping str. Also don’t miss second floor as they collected antique furnitures and put them into use for guests. My fave coffee house in Malmo!

Really original and cool place, perfect to chill with a few friends. You can get a delicious coffee and find a spot to stay in any of the three floors of the old house where this café is located. I only tried the coffee but surely next time I will give a shot to one of their cakes and desserts.

One of my favorite places, love the atmosphere and their coffee is delicious. Its quite expensive tho, and they have no wifi connection. With their amazing wool blankets you can sit out side, in their back garden, even during winter time.

Simply the best. That covers it all, but Unilocal forces me to ramble on and on… So: fair trade coffee, delicious organic sandwhiches and cookie, great and knowledgable staff, lovely preserved house and interiors. A must for any visitor with a coffee craving!

I adore this place. Their breakfast on Saturdays are around 95SEK, including juice, coffee(it’s really good coffee) and yoghurt. And all the normal stuff of course. It’s cosy inside and the café contains of several small rooms, which make it quite private even when there are lots of people.

What a cool little place. Got sent here by the server from Vollmers who said this place makes a custom roast for them. The server here knew his roasts and blends and was very friendly and helpful. You have the whole house to explore and settle down for a coffee. Definitely a place to come back to.

Arrogant staff who had no interest in selling any coffee after being asked if they had any non-dairy milk. After me, the customer, tried to pull out some alternatives, since I really wanted to taste their coffee, I got offered tea, water… or soda… For having that pretentious aura and arrogant attitude it’s apparent they don’t deserve to have word«coffee» in their name.

As its name suggests, Lilla Kafferosteriet roasts its own coffee. I was very taken by the range of brewed coffees they had, which were all strong and good and different every day, so I never ventured into their milky coffee or espresso-based drinks. The daily brews are very good and refillable. The baristas and counter staff know what they’re doing. It’s a beautiful café housed in a corner building in the old part of the city, near the squares. There are several storeys, but what you should do, weather-permitting, is to bring a book and sit in the garden drinking coffee and eating cinnamon buns. This place had an almost magnetic draw — I came by very, very often on my short visit to this city. I like it.

Malmo has a for its fairly small population an astonishing range of good places to go for coffee. Lilla Kafferosteriet roast their own coffee and have a wide range of different specialty coffee. It should be noted that they have a café part of the building(with longer opening hours) and a coffee bar(and also shop) part. The coffee in the café part is of course made using the beans that they roast themselves but it is not made to order so it is not at all as good. The coffee bar is the place to go — it is possible to order any of their coffees to be brewed there. They often use the gold filter to make the filter coffee. It is perhaps not my favorite method but it can produce good coffee. I do think that it is possible to get a good cup of coffee at Lilla Kafferosteriet however one of the main issues is that it is too often that the coffee is not good enough. It is sometimes the actually brewing of the coffee that is the problem — they are often very busy and it sometimes means that quality is suffering. A more serious issue would however be that the quality of the roasted coffee is often uneven — sometimes great but too often they fail to deliver. Still they do most of the time deliver good quality coffee but they do struggle to compete with the best. Seeing that there are many other options for good coffee in Malmö and in the surrounding cities I do often end up going elsewhere for coffee. The service can also(depending on how is working — will not mention names) be a bit arrogant.

This is my go to dealer for legal caffeinated drinks. I was an established tea drinker for years when it was recommended that the best way to combat migraines was at least one cup of coffee a week and some ibuprofen. My migraines usually lasted for three days with an added bonus of partial facial paralysis. After trying some hardcore prescriptions over the years, I figured a new coffee and ibuprofen régime couldn’t hurt. I held migraines at bay for two years until last summer when I was served some foul clams at a restaurant. My stomach became über sensitive and rejected coffee altogether, and the migraines returned… cause & effect. This January, I started tinkering with the idea of trying coffee again. I knew that Lilla Kafferosteriet was the place. The café is divided into two areas. There is the regular cakes, sandwich, panini service with selected drinks, which includes your lattes, cappuccino, hot chocolate, tea as well as four different coffee brews. If you’ve donned your sweet-tooth or hungry for a sandwich plus latte, order here. The other part is my extended living room. Here they roast all their coffee, sell beans, churned or unchurned to your liking. They also have a small service, but it’s all about the coffee and not the condiments. They do have one or two flavours of ice cream… the vanilla is exceptional. They know their coffee and patrons. With my sensitive innards and a head reeling from migraines, I asked simply for a very mild tasting coffee bean. A bean from Indonesia was selected, the right amount churned, put into a gold coffee filter and the coffee was made. It’s been nearly two months now and my migraines are no more(knock on wood). The coffee and people just keep me coming back for more. On a further note, the staff is not only nice but very knowledgeable. The owner sources the coffee beans himself and knows the producers and their product, leaving out any middlemen. This is truly fair trade. There’s seating on all floors, but if you sit on the top floor you’ll have to bring down your used dishes yourself. Seating in the courtyard behind the café is excellent for catching the sun in the afternoon. Just don’t feed the birds or they’ll never go away! Oh and there’s free wifi, but you’ll have to ask for the password.

Great little Café with a wide collection of tea and coffee, they even have their own brand. The house is an old fashion cosy place where all the furniture is for sale. I highly recommend their breakfast buffé they have. I tried it during the weekend. Just make sure you have time because it’s quite popular and there might be long lines. If the weather is nice, they have a very nice place to sit outside.
