I was overexcited when I read this place offers Japanese stuff. Miso ramen on demand? Matcha latte? Matcha frozen yoghurt? Matcha… here in Scandinavia? I remember how matcha-crazy I went when I was in Japan. Getting matcha this and that is almost like the national sport in Japan, but unfortunately it’s rather unheard of in this little nordic corner of the world. However, the review for the miso ramen for this place reminds me so much of the«nordic noodle» concept that I decided to skip altogether. Maybe it’s better not to try than try and get disappointed although that’s not a very good principle for a Unilocaler to live by. Still, I wanted to try matcha everything else and so I dragged Malmö local Richard S here to try the green stuff. The little café looked so neat and hip, like most cafes in Malmö and the service was super friendly. My frozen yoghurt matcha however tasted nothing like the one I had in mind. It tasted more like a natural frozen yoghurt with green colour to me. Richard S tried my matcha(a little note: He loathes anything matcha! ;) and that prompted him to give me an «eww» after tasting it. So maybe it did taste of matcha, just so subtle that I couldn’t taste it for being a matcha hardcore lover? Maybe it’s enough matcha just to introduce to the Scandis but not enough matcha love for me? Whatever it was, I was hugely disappointed. Sorry Misoteket, better luck next time.

We wanted something like ice-cream bad, and Unilocal sent us there. I had a green tea flavored frozen yogurt, with granola, coconut and rhubarb jam. Amazing and refreshing. The girl there was quite patient with our bad English, she spent time explaining the flavors and she kept smiling the whole time. Very good service.

Extremely bad food. I’m a big fan of ramen and all things miso. I got bad vibes when I was standing in line to order as I saw their mice en place of tired vegetables, hard boiled egg halfs and pre boiled noodles. Nonetheless, my sister persuade me to give it a try. I ordered the Red miso base, scallions, Shiitake, pok choi, & egg with all the«boost» except yoghurt. The red miso base was ok, but pretty bland. Marinated Shitake mushroom was pretty good. But the preboiled soba noodles were terrible and absolutely tasteless. My sisters rice noodles was slighly better. It was just a very disappointing bowl of «food» even though it was topped with extra chili and coriander. Definitely the worst soup/ramen I’ve had. I decided not to eat anymore after a few spoons. There were 3 more people in my company, they all said it was ok but non of them ate more than ¼ of their meals. Too bad of such an ambitious project in a very well designed and cozy little space. It could have been the perfect option in Malmö for a quick lunch.
