This was a very relaxing place to end the day after transatlantic flight. I was greeted very cheerfully seated at my table, asked if I would like a wine and I was allowed to peruse the menu at my leisure. I had the bleak roe for starters and the smoked salmon my main. It all went very well together yet not overly presented and ended up having the strawberries for dessert. This is a small spot on a small street but certainly worth the trouble to come here. You are about a block away from the famous bank where the term Stockholm Syndrome was coined.

KB is such a treasure. Whenever I’m in Stockholm I try to go for their unpretentious atmosphere and great food. Absolutely adore the white asparagus with truffle. Fiskgryta is also very good. Oldie but goodie and never fails to deliver great food and relaxed mood.

Offers very good food, especially fish and traditional Swedish dishes are really good, service is fast and good. The place is very old fashioned, but that can be fun from time to time too

Everything about this place is super old school — In particular, the décor :) However, the staff is very nice and the food is good For a hearty Swedish lunch in a traditional setting, surrounded by real whiskey-drinking, cigar-smoking sport coat wearing old men — Go Here.

Known as «KB» this is a great restaurant to sample some traditional Swedish fare. Hearty portions with typical Swedish flavours and a great wine list. KonstnarsBaren means«Artist’s Bar» and there are often exhibitions going on inside. My guests had the«Isterband» which is a smoked pork sausage with barley which has been gently fermented and contains much of what is unique in Scandinavian cooking– the slightly sour and savoury flavour you’d also find in the gravadlax and the sour cream and chive sauces. I had the Fish Casserole, which was an enormous bowl with different fish and langostines. Wonderful! A great restaurant full of history, and a great place to try the local food, with Stockholm full to bursting of food from elsewhere!
