Nice place for a Sunday brunch! Décor and atmosphere is great! Service is average. Food, for the price you pay you expect better flavors and produce. Very disappointed actually. I had the portobello burger, bread was dry and not as melted together with the shroom and other ingredients. Will not go again to eat, but for drinks.

First off, the décor in this place is awesome. I felt like a little kid who got lost at a really cool and trendy library. We had the mixed grill, which included some meats and roasted potatoes with a few sauces, including their homemade bearnaise. The meat was really well cooked, the potatoes were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The sauces just made everything so much better. Dessert was a snicker’s dessert which at first confused me because it didn’t contain snickers nor did it look like it. Eating the cake and ice cream separately, it’s nothing special. However, as soon as you mixed the two and ate them together. boom, snickers! I thought that was pretty fun. The wine that the waiter recommended was not the most expensive which I appreciated. So many restaurants offer you the priciest option, but our server instead paid attention to what we liked and what would go best with our meal. Another great thing about the waiters: We were initially told we would have the table for an hour and a half since it was reserved and we had no reservation. The waiter went out and got us a 30 minute extension which was so sweet of him(which is why we decided to get dessert as well). I definitely want to go back and trying some other dishes. I also want to try out the pintxos in the cava bar!

The food was good and the drinks were nice. I had The Public Burger and it was a decently delicious restaurant style burger. It wasn’t as good as some of the newer hipster-syle burger joints around the city, but I wouldn’t expect it to be. Everyone seemed to like the unique veggie burger and chicken pizza as well. The interior décor is also nice and the place has a good atmosphere. I’m from Chicago, so I’m a little bias in my love for the look of old raw brick industrial spaces that are converted into restaurants. ;) Totally a «meet the parents» or a «double date» style restaurant. Friendly, but still trendy feeling. I would give this place a few more stars, but trying to book a birthday party here was totally inconvenient. They have a banquet menu for over 12 people and you have to collect and give all the food orders in advance. I don’t really fault them fully for that considering I’ve found many restaurants here in Sweden also have those requirements. Most places I’ve been to back home normally just give large groups a shortened A La Carte menu upon arrival. It’s a pain in the butt to make your customer play phone/email tag with their guests trying to get a food order for a month away(or force them all to eat the same thing)! This wasn’t a wedding of 500 people! Ridiculous! The part I do fault them for entirely is the inefficient response to emails and their improper blasé tone of voice on the phone on more than one occasion. Every time I would email them they would not respond. So, I would then call and ask for a return phone call from the manager. THEN, they would email me back instead of calling!!? SODAMNANNOYING! Who does that? Despite the irritating communication issues, I really enjoyed everything once we were actually there! The waitstaff was fast and absolutely delightful! I do recommend coming here, just not for scheduling a party or conference.

I’m sad I forgot to check in but hey, good company and good food makes one forget the important stuff like. Unilocal. Located in the new area of Sundbyberg in Sweden lies The Public, a renovated factory that they have now made into a shopping area complete with restaurants. I had heard many good things about The Public so it wasn’t really a hard choice where to eat when we wanted to meet up with a friend who lived just around the corner. Of course, you need to make reservations. This place is busy like, all the time, so reservations is highly recommended. The menu has a bunch of different items that are said to both fit ones wallet and palate. THey have wood fired pizza, pasta, and meat from the grill. They got their own burger, and classic Swedish dishes. I went for the Lombardi Linguini which was beef, garlic, mushrooms, cream, cognac, and taleggio.(All dishes can be made gluten free). THe linguini was delicious. Creamy, yummy goodness. My husband had the risotto with the flavor of the day which I think was duck and sundried tomatoes. He loved it. He also had the Cevice Louisiana which was halibut, salmon, shrimp, cajun octopus, smoked tomato and oystervinegrette. Our friend had the house burger which also looked very good. It was a very busy restaurant, and the volume was loud so if you go to have a quite evening then you might want to rethink the spot. The food tho, was well worth not being able to talk to each other ;)
