As best I can tell from the map, this is the very small chocolate shop just about a half a block from the main Marktplatz that we stopped in and did quite a bit of damage. When I say small, the salesperson behind the counter and my husband and I filled the space. When another patron stopped in, it got crowded. The display of chocolates was easy on the eyes and called to the chocolate lover within. The saleswoman introduced us to Lackerli, a kind of shortbread style cookie, but soft like a brownie. Only available in Basel, it make the trip back to the U.S.A. to be shared with friends. There was a great deal of construction going on right outside the door and we had to return because when we found it, it was closed, however, during the day we missed it the first time we walked past. So, just a little heads up.
