Removed from the main drag, down a driveway lies this branch of the Salvation Army charity shops. The main floor is a bit cramped, with narrow aisles down which one finds kitchenware, glassware, dinnerware, etc. Some of the items seem to be ‘second-hand scores’, but a lot of the items are just a bit so-so. Electronics were tucked into the back of the shop. Clothes had ample space. Xmas ornaments and the like were up by the register. On the mezzanine level one finds furniture,(mostly) framed art and other larger bric-à-brac. There’s even a wee ‘coffee corner’ just off to the right when one enters the building. I saw folk sitting, chatting and drinking(I would imagine) super inexpensive cups of coffee. –nice touch. As it’s the Xmas season, the holiday tunes were on in full effect. There were lots of old faves heard, even the rather goofy ‘Jingle Bells’ sung entirely in dog barks. –put me in a good mood to browse, I have to admit. I walked out with a fairly cool ceramic jug for 2 franks. Merry Xmas to me.
