The staff is really friendly and the place… The place is an explosion of colour! Red walls, blue ceilings, orange curtains, golden tablecloths, silver plates… Food was good, considering there’s no competition(as far as I know, you need to go to the outskirts of lugano or to Milano to find another Indian restaurant). I think they use regular butter instead of ghee: some will see that as «less authentic», I saw that as «less heavy». I’m no expert in this kind of cuisine, but my partner was satisfied although not carried away. We ate an assortment of pakoras to share, some chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala and a bowl of rice. The serving was bigger than a thali bowl but smaller than a European main course, but with the pakoras it was enough. That, plus dessert(carrot halva and mango lassi), plus a bottle of water, was CHF60 for two, which makes it very reasonable for Switzerland. Just one criticism: we were sitting at the end of the place, just in front some kind of altar. Someone arrived(the owner?) and put a pair of lit incense sticks there. Regardless of what your beliefs are, I personally think that fragrant things do not match with food(specially if they give off smoke), but after some minutes we got used to it and it was no big issue.
