Nettes Ambiente, direkt an der Skipiste. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und freundlich eingerichtet. Gut bürgerliche Küche.

This restaurant is located right between the Tannenbodenalp LUFAG gondola station and the Flumserberg ski resort. Hence, it’s a great place to stop for a drink and a snack before heading home after a day on the slopes.
A perpetual sandwich board out front advertises their apple strudel with warm vanilla sauce in two languages – German and English – so of course I had to try this signature dish. Especially since my friends were raving about it.
Of course, the day I ordered it with them, they said it wasn’t as good as when they had it the previous time. The sauce was lukewarm… which I guess was true to the «warm» advertisement. I guess when I read that something has warm sauce, I kinda expected it to be hot.
Anyhow, it was still edible, even though it didn’t blow me away. Spacious woodsy décor inside and clean bathrooms also made this a nice location for an apéro last Saturday.

I went for the Jumbo Cordon Bleu (400gr) and fries. Absolutely delicious and filling enough to trade the boots for gluhwein.
