This is a very nice train station that connects the airport to Central Geneva and beyond. The station is easily accessible via a very short walk from the terminal. The facility is spacious, clean and well maintained. There is a manned ticket office which is always convenient. There are also ticket machines for those who prefer. The handful of food and drink options and the retail shops are rather handy as well. The station is easy to navigate as there are only a few platforms. In general, this is a very user-friendly facility that optimizes air travel into and out of Geneva.

The Swiss train system is terrific… easy to navigate and understand, very quiet trains, plenty of seating. This station specifically is connected to the airport, making it a great choice if you are headed east. Signs at the station easily direct you at the airport. Bought my tickets online but there are many kiosks outside the station.

Well, if the Americans are doing it then we should too… They require everyone to have a plastic bag for fluids to pass security, but have no limits on size or that you have to put your fluids into the bag. +++ Hahahaha! I’m watching the security officer put empty plastic bags into people’s carry-on/cabin luggage. +++ no alarms for people with large-format jugs or bottles! Hahahaha! +++ no I.d. Name Check against boarding passes. Just like the old days! You just have to have one to get past«security» +++ uh oh. Gate agent isn’t checking IDs either! Oh wait the one for my line is checking them. Hahahahha!!! Nice! Just like the old days. Got a ticket? You’re good! That’s the way it should be! Who the frack cares!

For those who don’t speak French, Gare is the train station. This was a great way to travel to and from the Geneva airport to central Geneva and the central train station(to then travel outside of Geneva by train). Easy. Quick. Clean. Cost is approx $ 3 one way for second class. Note: First Class is super nice but we didn’t bother upgrading since it’s such a short trip(10 min). Upgrade if you have money to burn.
