All things are relative. For Switzerland, this Chinese restaurant is head and shoulders above any other we have tried. We are a family of five. We had hot and sour soup and shrimp dumplings for appetizer. Both were excellent. For our main course we ordered the cashew chicken and the sizzling beef along with the vegetable noodles dish and fried rice with shrimp. The sidling beef was the best dish — the best Asian food dish I’ve had in Switzerland. Everything else was good as well. If this restaurant was in New York or San Francisco or LA, it would be middle of the road. But in Switzerland, a Chinese food desert –this place is an oasis.

I am a tourist to Lausanne from the U.S. but originally from China. The food here is beyond my words. The noodle is a must try, and the spicy beef is awesome! Love this place, will definitely recommend to anyone.

Très bon, énormes quantités et prix inversement proportionnel(21.- pour le menu du jour, une bière et un café)

Delicious beef noodle soup here. I was traveling in Switzerland from Los Angeles and homesick for Chinese food. This was really legit. Note: cash only. My noodle soup was 18chf so plan accordingly. I didn’t have enough cash to order the dumplings.

Being a Chinese I can say that this is authentic northern Chinese cuisine, but also has dishes that’s on the spicy side. A gem in the city! Usually very crowded during meal hours, take out available.

When chinese people eat at the table next to you in a chinese restaurant, that’s often a good sign! That’s what happened to us yesterday night Chez Xu. We were on for a good start! Known to be the best chinese restaurant in Lausanne, I wasn’t disappointed. We shared shrimps raviolis as a starter, which were really fresh. Then we took a canard laqué, the crispy skin was really delicious and the meat very tender. We also tried the beef in a typical chinese sauce. In all, a really good chinese restaurant. The prices are reasonable for Switzerland, too(almost all main courses under 20.-). Still, I wouldn’t recommend it for a first date as the tables are shared and really close to each other.

This is THE best chinese restaurant in town… even in Suisse Romande. Don’t go there if you want some privacy as the tables are really close to each other and don’t go there if you don’t want smelly clothes :) The food is wonderful, the«boeuf piquant»(spicy beef) is to die(if you like spicy, ask it real spicy), the«boeuf croustillant» is «ho my god!», the soups or dumplings… mmmhhh… Well, great. A lot of chinese go there early, fun atmosphere. Cheap, plate + beer = +/-20.- frs. Plates are big, you can have a doggy bag and eat it the day after at home :) But careful: CASHONLY ! writing this review make me feel like… I’m gonna go there tomorrow :)

Small prices for good quality and quantity! Veggie friendly. Probably not the best place for a first date since it’s very noisy and you’re often seated with other people. Often overcrowded, Chinese style!

Excellent and authentic Chinese food, at a great price. Spiciest food I’ve found in Switzerland so far. Real Chinese food.
