Hotel-Restaurant Steinbock

BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHACK RESTAURANT. My family of 4 went to this restaurant crazing some pizza as a snack before dinner because they claimed to be a pizzeria. The lady server who looked disgusted as soon as we walked in the restaurant. When sat down at the our filthy table it was covered with sauce stains and crumbs and there were bunch of flies that invaded the shack of restaurant.
When that lady came to take our order, she was throwing so much attitude and being not helpful after that it progress fully worse she was at throwing a fit she was throwing stuff around and speaking Swiss German about us. She was calling us pigs.
Talk about BAD SERVICE. We decided to ignore her and her dirty language and then we got our pizza we asked for 4 extra plates but she was ignoring us and said 4 swiss franks a plate. We got extremely frustrated and asked to speak to her manger. She said that he wasn’t in.
So we started eating the pizza and it tasted like it was straight out of the freezer. and the dough WASN’T EDIBLE. We asked for for some red crushed pepper but she was ignoring us. Then we said will go upstairs to hotel and talk to the manager and will not pay for the meal. She then got worried and called the manager out. So she LIED to us. The manager came out and was yelling at us and being racist to us and calling us peasants who are being stingy we told him we just wanted a snack and then told us you used my restroom also. There was another family of 4 with younger kids and was mad at manager who was yelling at us and using such fowl language. We are customers we decide what we want and as manager he needs to learn to be polite and RESPECT his costumers.
NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS DISGUSTING PLACE AGAIN.

Terrible experience here. The lady serves unfriendly, even to the kids! We are a group of 7 and ordered 5 dishes. But they only give us 3 plates. I can’t say I went all over the world but this is the first and up to today, the only one who want to charge me for an empty plate!!! The Jungfrau is so beautiful! BUT the restaurant is suck! NOT recommended!!!

We didn’t stay here, but we ate at the restaurant here. It wasn’t bad and the lady that served us was really nice. It just wasn’t surprisingly amazing or anything. I got a good place of veal sausage with potatoes and onions and my husband got a tomato soup with vodka and basil since he wasn’t that hungry. And while it was good, it wasn’t great and it was pretty pricey for what we pay for. I get it, we’re in a small town called Lauterbrunnen, restaurant options are limited, but still, it was just pricey all together, even for what we get.

This restaurant is a great place to grab a casual meal in Lauterbrunnen. The hours are more flexible, as are the prices. It ain’t cheap – nothing in Switzerland is – but for a relatively reasonable price, the pizza is tasty and filling. Add to that the lovely summer terrace, and this is one of your best bets for lunch in the village.

Decent pizza. If you are in Lauterbrunnen, its late, and all the places to eat are closed, dont worry the pizza is pretty good for the price.

Stayed in Lauterbrunnen for a week. There were two restaurants open. We only ate at Steinbock once and regretted it.
It wasn’t bad, but the service was slow and not particularly friendly, and the fondue was forgettable.
