Immer freundlich und super leckeres und frisches Essen. Bin noch nicht enttäuscht worden. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, nicht zu vornehm.

Für mich eine der besten Pizzerien in der Stadt! Dem Pizzaiolo lässt sich gut bei der Arbeit zuschauen, er macht in einer Seelenruhe Pizza auf Pizza, auf Wunsch kleine Grössen. Das scharfe Öl ist fein und der Knoblauchfan wird mit zusätzlich gereichten Knoblistückchen glücklich.
Am Nachbartisch bekam das Mädchen aus Versehen eine Pizza mit Chili drauf, obwohl sie ohne bestellt hatte. Sofort hat die Gastgeberin den Fauxpas bemerkt und die Pizza wieder mitgenommen. Kurze Zeit später brachte sie die richtige.
Das Publikum ist gemischt, die Atmosphäre entspannt. Mir gefällt auch, dass die Einrichtung relativ nüchtern ist und der häufig übliche Italokitsch fehlt.

Das das La Casa am Samstag Abend pumpenvoll ist sagt ja wohl alles. Spontan vorbeikommen ist hier nicht, das La Casa ist so beliebt.
Und ich verstehe auch weshalb: die Pizzen sind wirklich sensationell (dünner Teig, superfein belegt). Warnung vor dem Knoblauch im Öl, nachdem sollte man mindestens 24 Stunden in Quarantäné, die Mitmenschen danken…
Der Pizzaofen ist mitten im Lokal, dieses ist sozusagen um den Ofen herumgebaut. Und der Pizzaiolo ist wirklich ein Vollprofi, in flottem Tempo, aber sensationeller Ruhe produziert er die Pizzen im Akkord
Der Service ist extrem aufmerksam und freundlich, auch ein Highlight.
Und noch ein weiterer Tipp: der Amarone «Anima di Vergani». Nicht ganz billig, aber jeden Franken wert!

I was looking for a restaurant open on Sunday near my place (preferably a pizzeria) so as usual I turned to fellow Unilocalers for some inside info and as usual I was not disappointed
The place is classy and has two rooms separated by a glass door (probably from the time when it was still allowed to smoke inside). I really liked the décor: it looked cozy and modern with visible bricks on the walls and large tables that can hold groups up to 10 – 12 people, so it can be a good address for any special occasion. At the center of the pizzeria you can find the pizzaiolo and the wood-​burning oven, the true Italian way!
We ordered salads for the entrée, ravioli, one Pizza Napoli and penne with vegetables and finally ended our meal with home made Tiramisu. The pizza was good, not great, because it lacked this crunchiness that I like so much. The penne were a bit oily, which was too bad because the dish was really good otherwise (they were not home made though). As for the ravioli, they were also good. The Tiramisu was a bit dry to my taste (probably needed a day more at the fridge). Altogether the food was good (not great though, just good).
I really enjoyed the service, I have to say the waiters were really helpful, fast and were always checking to see if everything was all right, although we came during rush hour.
I’ll definitely come back.

This is one of my regular default pizza places in Zurich. I mainly go there because it is open on Sunday … a rather rare option in Zurich (I could go on about that, but this is not the time and place …). La Casa is a subsidiary of the Scala a few meters down from Schaffhauserplatz. While it is the same owners, I always have the impression that the food is not on the same level. The pizza are nice (although they lack the Scala form factor), but the pasta never really amazed me. They love to put weird decoration (cherry tomatoes, balsamic reduction, etc) on the pasta, even if it does not match. Less would be more. Also the vitello tonnato was a bit disappointing for me because it lacked the creamy tuna sauce, but rather came with a thick tuna paste. On the plus side, the service is generally ok, the place looks impeccable and it even has a little outside area (although a bit noisy …)

Das La Casa ist das Nachwuchs-​Restaurant der Pizzeria Scala und ist wohl als ein edleres, moderneres Pendant gedacht. Gleich beim reingehen sticht einem deshalb der schöné Holzofen mit dem nett lächelndem Pizzaiolo ins Auge und der feine Duft von Trüffelöl hängt in der Luft. Auch der Rest der Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet, besonders punkten kann es aber vor allem durch die schönen Gartensitzplätze, die das Scala nicht zu bieten hat. Die Pizzen sind in etwa genau so fein wie im Partner-​Restaurant, doch die Pasta kann leider mit jener vom Scala nicht mithalten. Wie enttäuscht ich doch war, als wir einmal auf das La Casa ausgewichen sind, weil das Scala Sonntags Ruhetag hat, und ich meine geliebten Spaghetti Carbonara bestellte… Sicher waren sie nicht schlecht, aber wenn man die besten der Welt erwartet, hatten sie einfach keine Chance… Alles in allem aber trotzdem ein Lokal in dem man sich wohlfühlen und wenigstens gute Pizza essen kann ;-)
